Early Spring Fishing in the south shore of Massachusetts is Comet Mino time! Old Man winter killed off the Lilly pads and vegetation so there is no risk for weeds to entangle around the comet mino sharp treble hooks. The hungry large mouth hit the comet mino as the sun warms out the outside temperature from 41 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Water Temp was about 48 degrees. I'll be fishing the comet mino for the next month.
Factory Pond in Hanover Massachusetts is a great fishing pond. There great access with a small parking lot and canoe launch. Be Aware: Factory Pond was polluted by the National Fireworks Co. with heavy metals like lead and mercury and other substances. Hanover has avoid the superfund site designation and are planning to clean the pollution in the future
