The Comet Mino is one of Mepps most popular lures. It will catch just about any fish that swims. Bassmaster magazine named the Comet Mino one of the 10 best bass lures of all time. All Comet Minos feature an interchangeable hook that makes it simple to attach a replacement Mino. In addition, all Comet Minos are carefully airbrushed to ensure realism. Their erratic swimming action makes them appear to be a wounded bait fish.
Comet Minos come in sizes #00 through #5. A #00 is an Ultra Lite spinner. In fact, you can
get the #5 Comet Mino with either a 3" or 4" Mino.
Comet Minos are perfect for casting or trolling. Gold blades are polished brass. Silver blades are genuine silver plated. All Comet Minos run at mid-depth.

Good luck finding the 4's and 5's in a 15 mile radius of me, I bought them all! |

When I got there they all told me to use a red and white Daredevil, I tied on a Comet Mino Super Mino that my dad gave me. Some of the guys kinda snickered when they saw me put that big lure on and cast it out. They all got excited when I pulled in that big pike though. Great lure, too bad the body got chewed up and none of the stores around here sell replacements. |

So I opened the package and walked down to the river with my pole and made a few casts. On about the fourth cast I caught a 27" Northern Pike. I used that bait all night long and caught 7 more Pike ranging from 19-26". I was so impressed with the lure that I went to the store and bought more. I never leave the house to go fishing without a Mepps Comet Mino or other Mepps products. |

First time trying it, I caught 5 or 6 bass on another lure which was my favorite, and when it died down i tried the Mepps Comet and it was the most excitement I ever had bass fishing. I caught 8 or 9 bass out of the same pond after it died down when using the other lure.. It seems they hit it even when they don't want to hit and won't hit anything else. |

From Redfin Pike in irrigation canals here in Indiana to Northerns in Ontario, this lure is devastating!!
I guess the best way to sum it up would be to say, "I collect Rapala, but I use Mepps!!!".
All you have to do is cast and crank and you will catch fish.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after using it through the first summer, I could not believe how many different fish that lure was capable of attracting and catching. Big Squam is a great smallmouth bass lake but has a large variety of fish. Using this lure, in a variety of ways, including casting, trolling, bouncing over rocks and even casting it out and letting it fall to the bottom!!! The fish just seem to believe it's a real bait fish and they attack it. I have caught Largemouth, smallmouth, salmon, pickeral, whitefish, rainbow, even a bullhead with it. My lure box has never been out of this lure since the first time I used it. Sometime's they are hard to find, so now I buy more when I do fine them...Thanks, Mepp's for the great lure... |
