Testimonial:I bought the lure being a little skeptical seeing not very many reviews or product testing; even on YouTube there wasn't much. I bought the Black Fury in sizes 1,2 and 3. The number 2 & 3 are awesome! It's almost every other cast you'll get something on the Black Fury. The catch was almost 3lbs and I just recently caught an 8lb largemouth. It's an awesome lure and is a fish magnet. A must have for anybody who loves to throw a lure around.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Barracuda
Testimonial:The dressed XD size 3 with white (silver blade) and yellow (gold blade) is a killer for the hybrids. I tend to troll with these lures and it doesn't take long. It also attracts all the other fish in the lake. If it wasn't for the pickerel I wouldn't need to order so many of these :)

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Perch, Yellow - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown
Testimonial: The lure I reach for first, no matter what I am fishing for is a Gold size 1. It's always catching me trout at the small lake near where I live, catching my limit, even when those right near me are catching nothing. I like how it makes me look like a great fisherman by just knowing the right lure to use. People ask me what I am using and I just tell them to switch to a Mepps spinner. You made Mepps my favorite lure when you first sent me your Fishing Guide 20 years ago and I have been using them and catching fish ever since.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Perch, Yellow - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown
Testimonial:Have been using Mepps all my life. But, when I first bought a Little Wolf, it was gold. It became one of my favorites. First day I used it while fishing at a small lake near where I live in western New York, I caught 3 largemouth bass,at least 5 bluegill, a couple of crappie, and 4 brook trout in about a hour. I then passed it on to my wife so she could catch some fish, since the live bait she was using had only caught her a couple of bluegill. This gold Little Wolf and others that I have bought this season, have been producing every time.

Testimonial:Great lure! Fishing small lake with 1/8 gold for less than a 1 1/2 hours and caught 4 largemouth bass, 3 brook trout, couple of crappie, and at least a half-dozen bluegills. Have also used in Creek to catch trout. Have always fished with Mepps, but, have a new favorite now.

Testimonial:I love Mepps!! I only really use Mepps, not just spinners, but, I ordered replacement Minos and use them on spring crappie and sunny spawn. I catch 3 fish to everyone else's!!! How you ask? I don't have to get a minnow out of minnow bucket! Plus, I use Mepps on fly rods with a sight indicator. Between St. Croix and Mepps I will continue to dominate anyone I fish with!!!

Testimonial:I use the Mepps #3 or #4 gold spoon and white skirt. Man in the Tran will tell you its the best darn thing since Larry the cable guy. This lure will catch anything and everything. I out fish everybody. They be using all sorts of fancy doodads and whatnots but my simple Mepps always catch me more bigger better fish every time. I usually fish that Blackwater River its got alot of different type of fish and my one lure will catch them all. Before I found the Mepps, I couldn't get no more than an occasional bite. Now when I go fishing, I catch tons of fish. Thank you Mepps you made my fishing better.

Testimonial:I have found that Black Furies work amazingly well in two situations: In and around rocky shorelines and reeling them fast over spawning fish. I caught nearly a ten pound largemouth last year right next to a rocky shore.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)
Testimonial:I've caught many bass (and other fish) for many years on Mepps dressed Aglia lures.

One experience I recently had was a farm pond in SE KS. I fished for an hour in December and not a single bite. I put a Silver dressed Aglia #4 on my line and caught 16 largemouth bass in the next hour. 2 of which were easily over 4lbs.

It's a must-have lure for those tough days on the water.

Testimonial:Fishing at a local spot, always catching bluegill, shellcracker, pumpkinseed, and other panfish with my size #00 glo pink/white Mepps Syclops. All was normal, whacking panfish off the bridge, when a 20" largemouth bass strikes my lure, beauty. I use this lure for a variety of fish, all seem to want it. Great job Mepps, looking forward to more fishing.

Testimonial:I bought this lure at Bass Pro Shops a while ago. While fishing in a local marina one day, nearly every cast was another catch. I have used it at fishing derby's the past two years and have won for biggest fish both years. Can't express my newly found love for these lures!

Testimonial:Like most other posts, this is the go-to-lure. When all else fails or fishing is tough and unpredictable this is the first thing I will turn to. Favorite is a number 3 with a red-white blade with a white tail. This became my favorite after this last weekend of fishing. I was fishing the Susquehanna River for smallmouth. We were using spinnerbaits in the early morning and caught a few nice fish, and then the bites stopped. Switched to the Mepps and started nailing fish. Caught 23 fish with this lure! There were a couple smaller fish, but, most were respectable sizes with a few 3-4 pounders. Love these lures and the great quality! Keep up the good work.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Blue - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Rainbow
Testimonial:I am 53 and have been fishing Mepps spinners since I was 4 years old from as far north as Fairbanks, Alaska, to as far south as Oakville, Texas. When it seems that nothing is biting, the Mepps Comet Minos sizes 00, 1, 2, or 3, always save the day as do the Aglia with squirrel tails. I saw my father catch Salmon and Grayling on Mepps while I have caught Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth bass, Spotted Bass, Guadalupe Bass, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Green Sunfish, Longear Sunfish, Redear Sunfish, Redspotted Sunfish, Warmmouth, Rock Bass, White and Black Crappie, Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, and once a silver shad. I have caught panfish barely larger than the lure to Bass over 4 pounds. All the Mepps products are winners. They are fantastic.

Testimonial:I felt compelled to give a testimonial on the "go-to" lure in my tackle box, the Mepps Comet Mino. I have been fishing with this lure for 35 years and it never fails to catch fish when nothing else will. I have caught many species including: Bass, Catfish, Bluegill, Perch, Trout, and Crappie. It works in ponds, rivers, lakes, and streams. In short, if I only had 1 lure to fish with, it would be the Mepps Comet Mino! Thank you for all your quality products!

Product:Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel
Testimonial:This is the #1 lure that I recommend to family and friends. I have 3 tackle boxes full of lures and I find myself catching so many fish with the dressed Aglia that I don't use anything else other than the occasional worm just to mix things up. I catch bluegill on size 0 and 1 and largemouth on #2-#5. Channel cats will even bite occasionally. The only difference is that bigger lures seem to be attacked more ferociously. Since my wife bought me my first "squirrel tail" with a gold blade in 1999, I have produced more fish than ever before. Now that my kids are old enough to fish, I am just going to go purchase a selection of Mepps lures and use the extra money and time on our fishing adventures. Thanks for the countless memories!

Testimonial:I went fishing at a local river on Saturday and no one around me was catching fish but me! I was the only one using a Mepps lure, everyone else was using bait. I caught my limit in 45 min. while I only saw one other person catch a trout.

Testimonial:I am a huge fan of the lime green(chartreuse dot) colored #3 Black Fury spinner. When I look back at all of the fish I have caught recently, 90% of them have been caught using the Black Fury. I love this lure! It is the only lure in my tackle box and I will go in after it I lose it on a snag (speaking from experience!!) I have even converted one of my non-believer friends into using them. I guess he finally got tired of watching me catch all the fish while he got skunked. Please, please, please NEVER STOP MAKING THIS LURE!!!! Thank you for such a great product and all of the joy it has given me in my fishing adventures!!

Sincerely,
Jordan

Testimonial:I can't say enouph about the Aglia. I have cought many diffrent kinds of fish with this spinner. The Aglia will catch anything. This spring I have already caught hundreds of bass and haven't used hardly anything else.
I have already caught three award-winning trout for the Mepps Awards. Monster trout that weighs up to and including the three pound class. Last weekend I caught the biggest crappie of my life. A one pound nine ounce white crappie out of a farm pond. I will have a pick up soon in the picture section on this site. I have used Mepps for over twenty years (about 1989) and love and respect anything Mepps puts out there. This spinner can run at almost any depth as long as you retrive it slow enouph to turn the blades and you can run it as low as five to eight feet. I use the 1/4 ounce #3 for bass and trout,#0 and #1 for crappie and other panfish, #5 for large bass and carp... anything really big. I have been a fan and always will be forever. Mepps is a part of my life and thats something I will never regret.

Testimonial:The Aglia might be my spinner during the day, but, when it comes to low light evenings or overcast days where there is little sunlight, I go to the Black Fury. Yellow and florescent red are my faves. Just throw it and reel it in. It catches anything. Thanks, Mepps, you are my number one lure.

Testimonial:Bought a couple Mepps sizes 0 and 1 for trout fishing during a trip to Colorado last year. Never considered using them on Panfish until I got tired of fishing with natural baits for Bluegill in Nebraska. Tied on a size 0 Ultra-Lite and on almost every cast the lure was hit or a Bluegill was pulled in. Can't wait to try a larger size for Largemouths!

Robert Yanos

Location:Birdsboro, Pa, Pennsylvania
Product:Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught:Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)
Testimonial: With these lures I almost always catch a fish(there isn't a large population of fish where I fish). I only have 5 different colors of the size 2, but they're all I need(unless I lose one). I caught the largest and most hard fighting freshwater fish of my life with a size 2 silver blade brown tail dressed Aglia. It was a 16 inch smallmouth(where I fish there isn't a big food source so that's just about as big as they get). This bait must of made the bass strike out of agression because when it hit I literally got mad because I thought it was a snag. Too bad I didn't have a scale with me(probably 2+ pounds.) Also when I got the lure out, I pulled all the dressing off the tail:( When I'm fishing for bass, sometimes, I get a real nice sized rock bass and they hit and fight hard also a really tough fighter for it's size. Again, I think they bite out of pure agression or they are just REALLY hungry. Hope you catch something "wait", let me rephrase that, "catch something big." You won't regret buying this lure. I've tried rooster tails, but the wire is cheap and bends with some of the smallest panfish. Another thing wrong with the rooster tail is that I found with some you have to dry them off or they rust with in a couple of weeks or so. Aslo it can be hard to make the spoon spin with them, but the Aglia's once they hit the water they start spinning.
I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH GET A MEPPS DRESSED AGLIA.

Testimonial:These Mino spinners have been one of the greatest lures I have ever used, everything likes them, to the point that I have several of each size in three different tackle boxes. When nothing is biting on anything I throw in, all I have to do is throw one of these in and let the fun begin. I prefer the chad, but also have the Rainbows just in case the weather turns bad, seems the worse the weather, the Rainbows work better. These are also good for SEA TROUT in southern FL. Great all around lures.
