Ronald – Piceral Lake, Minnesota

Matt Whitegiver – Downeast, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, White - Salmon, Atlantic - Trout, Brook - Trout, Lake

I am a Master Maine guide and I own/operate Eagle Mountain Guide Service here in Downeast Maine & I love my Mepps.
Prior to ice out every year, I'm on the Mepps website building the lures I want for the upcoming season and get my order in.
Late Spring until the water reaches a certain temp, my sports are casting into the rocky shorelines with Mepps Aglias (Dressed and undressed).                                                It is my favorite time of the Smallmouth season. Slowly working rocky shorelines while my sports cast as close to shore as they can, all the while warning them not to get stuck in the rocks or trees. You have to get it moving the second it hits the water I tell them. Some master it, some don't. Those that don't and lose a lure or 2, wind up with a cheap Chinese spinner the rest of the day. Did I mention I love my Mepps?  Once the big Bass leave the shores for deeper water, I turn to the XD Aglia for a spell. A great lure to extend the spinner fishing a bit until it's time for top water lures and deep diving crank baits.Gotta love a Mepps...

Nick Kaiser – Lake Of The Woods, Ontario., Ontario , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I’ve used your double-blades Aglias for years. They are by FAR my favorite lure for Northern Pike. I just finished a week of fishing on Lake of The Woods and the Northern just could not lay off of them. I had three brand new #5s before the trip and all three of them are bent, missing 1/2 the “hair” and most of the paint! Keep up the great work!!

Christian Giannantonio – Salisbury, Vermont

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Pike, Northern

Went fishing while spending a week at a friends lake house. Got countless Northern Pike, with the biggest at 4.80 Lbs. And got a new personal best Largemouth Bass at 3.54 Lbs. The size 3 spinner is my favorite.

Bert Thielman – Bleachers Pond Fall River, Massachusetts

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Pickerel - Catfish, Bullhead (brown, yellow & black)

I have many Mepps lures. When the bite is tough, tie on a Mepps. I use them in cold water up here in the northeast and they don't disappoint. Mepps are great multi species lures, and you can slow roll them or burn them it doesn't matter, there will be a fish on the other end.

Luke Sears – Annapolis, Maryland

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Blue - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (White) - Perch, White - Pickerel - Sunfish (shellcracker)

I've been using all sorts of lures cheap ones, expensive ones, all kinds, but no other lure has worked as good as a Mepps. They can literally catch any fish. Wherever I go I take one with me because if I see a fishing pond, I know I'm guaranteed to get one with the Mepps.

William Singletary – Tusquiti Creek, North Carolina

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow

I was working in North Carolina and there was a creek right in front of the house I had rented. I hadn't had a lot of luck in it, so I went to a place called Fires Creek and caught almost my limit. Well, I came back and said let's try the creek again. I tied on a Thunder Bug I had had for years. My dad bought it for me. Well, second cast and I caught a three pound rainbow. My biggest to date for sure!

Paul Evon – Bad River, St. Charles Michigan, Michigan

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Pike, Northern - Catfish, Bullhead (brown, yellow & black)

I have had nothing but the best of luck with the Mepps plain Aglia spinners (# 1, 2, 3)
I like spinners because I have more control of their depth and they do not sink very far down.I have caught bullhead and panfish, all types of bass and the mighty Northern Pike. My guess is that spinners mimmick insects so that would attract just about any species of fish. I have the best luck with the red and white blades. I have over $200 of lures in my tackle box but I only use Mepps spinners 95% of the time. I am a Mepps fan for life.....

Ben Vogt – Craig Creek VA, Virginia

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Brook

First cast into a new hole, pulled out a 3lb 5 oz brook trout! After that cleaned out the hole of rainbows.

Jeff Cisar – NE Ohio Rivers, Chagrin, Rocky, Cuyahoga, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Steelhead

I have been throwing my #3 Hot Orange plain hook Mepps spinner for over 20 years. I have caught hundreds of steelhead on them and this past weekend got my personal best at 31” and 12.1 lbs! In the past few weeks I’ve landed one at 28” and several others in the mid 20’s!
It never gets old feeling the hit with these spinners, even using them in frigid waters. It’s my number 1 “go to” and my buddies ask if I use anything else? Rarely! On occasions I will switch it up, but for my style of fishing it is simply the best! Did I mention the the hundred of big smallmouth bass and channel catfish I’ve caught also? Yeah! It works for them also! Can’t go wrong with these! Cast&Catch my friends!👍🎣

Thomas Craig – Snake River, Above Lower Granite Dam, Washington

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

The last week of October, my daughter & I fished for bass and I caught a 15 inch and a 13 inch small mouth. The temperature was in the 40's and we were cold and left after a couple of hours, but we used noodle rods and Aglia #3 Silver Mepps. Noodle rods are great because even an eight inch bass feels like a big fish and a 15 incher is a real fighter.

Bart Shortall – Chickamicomico River, Maryland

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Snakehead

The #4 Mepps Silver Bladed White Skirt is my absolute go to locator lure for Northern Snakeheads here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.. 4 outta 4 top 5 finish's in Snakehead Tournaments with the Mepps Aglia!! Great product and they hold up well to the aggressive fighting fish!

Melissa Creekmur – Pond, Kentucky

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bass, White - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Carp - Catfish, Blue - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow

I am a 45 year old woman I have been fishing since I was 3 years old. First started with my grandfather. He had always used nothing but Mepps spinners. So I followed in his foot steps. I try new lures on occasion but have found its a waste of time for me. I will only use Mepps to catch the fish!!! They are the best!!

Gabe Resto – Beaverdam Creek On The Wicomico River In Salisbury, Maryland

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Striped - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Perch, White

I wish I could select Hickory Shad as well, they can't resist a size 0 or 1 plain silver Aglia. A white dressed size 2 Aglia cast right in the spillway wash was the ticket for the stripers.

John Hunter – Tinicum, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Striped - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Musky - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Snakehead

The Mepps number 5 dressed Aglia is my favorite freshwater lure. Its my number one lure for bass and snakehead. It catches anything that swims in freshwater!

Seth Smith – Penns Creek, Weikert, Pennsylvania ,

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown

Weikert parking lot October 5, 2020
Not a sole in sight, after fishing the main section and catching many fish I decided to trek down stream past the bridge. Coming to a deep hole in the back, I tie on a dressed Aglia 2 and toss it out into the limestone stream. 5-6 tosses later... SMACK! Big 24" brownie right in the corner of the mouth. Brown trout approved👌

Bob – Brunswick Hills, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

The Mepps Aglia Brown Trout with Gray Squirrel Tail is a go to. We go to Lake Nippissing every year and have our own group tournament. I can bank on the Brown Trout with a Squirrel Tail to catch fish especially casting into the sun and a slow steady retrieve through the tops of weeds in the early evening.

Mike Buroni – Bartlett Lake, Arizona

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Catfish, Channel

First two casts returned two different bites, two different species. I had no idea channel cats would attack the Mepps. Good job guys, I am forever a believer.

Jess Bridel – Kipawa Lake, Laniel, Quebec , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

New to fishing, my husband gave me a bunch of his lures to start off my tackle. One was a Mepps Aglia #3, rainbow trout with pink beads. He’d had it for over a decade and never used it (too pink). It quickly became my go-to. Out catching hubs. Shortly after catching 7 fish (bass, pickerel, pike) I caught a trophy sized bass!!! Sadly a huge pike, decided he liked it so much, he just had to have it.... I am desperately searching for a replacement- but believe it’s discontinued. I have friends all over Canada searching their local tackle shops for it.
That Mepps is amazing. Even my husband, who used to be allergic to pink lures, is sold on it and wants one too...

Bruce Purpura – Downeast Maine Lakes And Ponds, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Trout, Lake - Walleye - Salmon, Quananiche (landlocked)

I discovered the Mepps dual blade aglia spinner last year and have not put it down since. This lure catches just about everything that my ponds and lakes have to offer. I had never caught salmon, pike, walleye, or trout until I started using this lure. The bass LOVE it. I troll alot and using this lure on 1 rod and a different lure on the other rod, I will catch 90% on the dual blade. Can't say enough about it. Thank you for producing quality products.

Preston Lynn – Lake Cook, Virginia

David Fairly – Tanks Central Texas, Texas

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Crappie (Black)

I was always a true believer in spoons and live bait. A good friend of mine ask me what I was fishing with and just as I said before. He was knocking the fish out at every cast. Well I guess he felt sorry for me. he gave me a #5 Mepps and the fish never stopped hitting that day and still to this day I am a true believer in this life and consider this to be the world's best lure.

Bruce Bradley – Catalan Seco Lagoon, Artigas Uruguay

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

I have fished in Brazil and Uruguay and by far the best lure has been the Mepps treble silver. Mostly have fished 'lagoons', which are sections of seasonal rivers that hold water year-round. There are limited species but the action can be great. Mostly there are predator fish with the most common being tararira. Voracious feeders and fantastic fighters, with jumping common. They have walleye-like teeth and hard mouths. Another species is cabesa a magre, a bass-like form and not as good a fighter, but still fun to catch. Mepps silver 3 is best. Mepps spinners are my go-to lure wherever I go from the Arctic to the Southern Cone.

Kip Lohmiller – Lake Poygan, Wisconsin

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Bowfin - Catfish, Blue - Crappie (Black) - Pike, Northern - Walleye - Catfish, Flathead

As a kid I grew up using Mepps, in WI and MN. The 21 years I was in the Army, I didn't fish at all. After retirement my wife told me, I needed a hobby, so I took up fishing again, after nearly 25 years. And went and bought a bunch of Mepps and other lures. I can't lie, I am a spinner loving fisherman. Over the last 3 years I have used Mepps almost exclusively. And mainly the Aglia dressed #5 and #3. I have caught tons of fish with them, from Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Small Mouth, Walleye, Bowfin, Crappie, Catfish, and White Bass. I have been to Mepps in Antigo three times with friends to take the tour and get resupplied on my selection. Each time Bev and the crew have been awesome, and a big thanks to them.
Last year Mepps came out with the Aglia Bait series, and I ordered several different ones, but the Frog was my new go to spinner. I caught probably 6 northern over 32" and tons of bass, small and large mouth, I caught walleye, white bass and more. There are two really memorable days this last season that I would like to share. 1st, Troy and I went out in the morning on Lake Poygan and he was using the Dirty Shad and I was using the Frog, both from the Aglia Bait Series. Up until late afternoon I caught all Large Mouth and Troy caught all Northern Pike. Later that day things change up and we caught 8 White Bass in about 15 minutes and then I started to catch northern on my Frog and Troy, bass on his Dirty Shad. We caught 30 fish that day, it was crazy...... 2nd, My brother in law came up to visit and he has been fishing his whole life so its always a competition. The last day Troy, Jim and myself went out for a day of fishing. Jim "my brother in law" threw everything in his tackle box to include some crazy looking blue gill lure. Troy and I only used Mepps Bait Series. Troy and I caught a total of 20 fish, 10 apiece and Jim caught 4. A great way to end a week of fishing.......
On December 30, 2019 Troy and I went up to Mepps for a tour and to have some lures custom made. The tour was great and Troy and I put in our order. Troy got his lures the next day, WOW. I got mine on the 1st, WOW. The whole team up in Antigo was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot Mepps, you build the best lures and have the best customer service!!!!!!!! Troy and I are going to do some bass tourneys this year with only Mepps just for fun...... Have a great year!!!!!

Cole Rochon – Middle Range Pond, Poland, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Dear Mr Mepps,

I use your lures through out the open water season. Amazingly, I catch 8 different species on them in my lake. Tonight I caught a trophy large mouth. 6" mouth, what a fight. She is going to the taxidermist in the morning. Thank you again!

Tony Grimm – Kaw Lake, Oklahoma

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Striped - Catfish, Channel

The dressed Aglia is truly a remarkable lure. I went fishing at Kaw Lake and caught 5 different species out of the first 6 fish. Striper, Wiper, Largemouth Bass, Needlenose Gar and 2 Channel Catfish. For a lure that has been in production since 1938, that really says something about it’s effectiveness and the company that makes these great lures. I would like to send a big thank you to Mepps and the employees that work in Wisconsin and in France for building such great lures.
