The Mepps #3 gold with the brown tail is by far my favorite lure in my tackle box. I will not head out fishing if I don't have one. I have caught all of the fish listed above on a gold #3 with a brown tail. I typically target Northern pike, but will frequently catch Bass, and other fish, unintentionally. The best pike I ever caught was around 40 inches, but I have caught countless others over the years.
