Lure: Magnum Aglia
Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow
Third cast, 6 feet deep. Rainbow hit!Lure: Black Fury
Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver) - Salmon, Chinook (king)
I bottom drag this Black Fury across river pools where Salmon school before runs up river ladders. If, after a couple days, the paint isn't coming off the lure body, then I'm not down deep enough where the big fish are. When I get hook ups it's always a fight to remember.Lure: Black Fury
Fish Caught: Steelhead
So, it was a thunderstorm kind of day; warm, rainy, sunbreaks, typical. I decided, hey, I'm gunna head down to Cedar and see if I can get me a fish or two. I had bought 2 Bluefox MJ's #4 knowing that with those I was going to get something. I get down to the river about 6:30pm, not as many people, so that was going good. There was one guy fishing where I wanted to fish, so, I just went down stream 15 yards or so. First cast, snag my brand new spinner up, put on my other MJ and continue casting and I make it about 15 casts before I lose that spinner. I used two more Bluefoxs in the process, losing a total of 4 spinners. There's a lot of line out in the water. So, I look in my tackle and see I have a Black Fury spinner #3 and I say what the heck.. 3 casts in, and a few prayers, and I thought I snagged up on some line again, next thing I know a huge fish is jumping out of the water and I'm thinking, whoa, looks like a fish. Then I realize I have the fish on. Yahooo!!! I landed that baby she weighed just over 11 lbs and had eggs. It was chrome and beautiful. Thank you Mepps.Lure: Spin Flies
Fish Caught: Steelhead - Trout, Dolly Varden - Trout, Rainbow
I love the Mepps SPINFLY in the wollyworm pattern because where I come from you either match the forage the fish are eating or you're going home empty handed. So, the wollyworm pattern in the green or brown work fantastic in the streams and rivers around my house. There is also the occasional steelhead in the streams and when they catch a glimpse of the SPINFLY, they'll hit it in an heartbeat. I also love the fact that I can use the #00 SPINFLY on my Redington fly rod, but, I prefer the #0 SPINFLY on my ultralight rod and reel. Overall, I LOVE the Mepps SPINFLY in the wollyworm pattern.Lure: Spin Flies
Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow
This is an amazing lure! I can use any other types of spinners and catch 1 out of 10 - 15 casts. With the Spin Fly, it's almost every other cast!I have been using this lure for about 6 years now and will continue on for MANY MORE!Lure: Flying C
Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)
The Flying C is one of the best salmon/steelhead catches more fish than any other for me. Lures that GLO or not, all the colers are a must have for your box,a guy could cast to Jupiter, hence, Flying C. ONE MORE CAST!Lure: Little Wolf
