MW – SE PA To Montana, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia Ultra Lites

Fish Caught: Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Cutthroat - Trout, Rainbow

The Mepps 00 has caught me more trout than I can remember. As a kid I would catch trout with the 00 in creeks in SE Pennsylvania that no one even knew had trout. I then took my fishing to Montana where I caught trout with the 00 so big I didn’t even know trout got that big in small streams. I got hooked on fly fishing and let all my 00s collect dust and disappear. I recently bought some more after reminiscing about the fun I had with them, and the skill it takes to REALLY fish them. Fished right the 00 is, in my mind, the best trout lure out there. I look forward to getting back to my roots and catching a lot of quality trout with an ultra light outfit and my new 00s. When I was a kid you didn’t call them spinners, you called them a Mepps. Thanks to Mepps for keeping these great lures around!

Riley – Susquehanna River, Pennsylvania

Lure: Bronze Slammer

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

Decided to try one of these out when I got sick of burning through small swimbaits. These in current are great and run true with minimal to no line twists without a swivel from my experience. I noticed my average size for smallies increased once I started chucking this around. This is a high quality product and is a juiced up version of the spinners we grew up using.

Ross A Bonaddio – Kennedy Park, Forest City, Pennsylvania

Ross Bonaddio – Lackawanna State Park, Pennsylvania

The Mepps number 5 dressed Aglia is my favorite freshwater lure. Its my number one lure for bass and snakehead. It catches anything that swims in freshwater!

Michael Purdy – Pikes Creek Reservoir, Pennsylvania

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Pickerel

I had never caught a pickerel before and was trying to get one for awhile. I read online the Mepps #3's were good for pickerel. I went and grabbed the Black Fury and ten minutes of casting, I got a great pickerel!

Daniel Heindel – Octoraro Creek, Pine Grove, Chester County, PA, Pennsylvania

Travis Tarr – Tionesta, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Musky

My name is Travis. I'm 15 and have been hunting and fishing all my life. I've only been musky fishing now for 2 years, and never had any luck. However, the first time I used a Mepps Musky Killer, I caught a 42 inch musky. The same summer, I caught a 52 inch, 40 pound musky. I never had any luck using Mepps. After I switched, I caught 2 muskies, one giant, once in a lifetime fish, at 15. I will tell you, I will never use anything else. Thank you, Mepps!!!

Joe – Pennsylvania

Lure: Double Blade Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Carp - Crappie (Black)

I just bought this lure a week ago, out fishing twice and have caught 4 different species. Great lure!

Travis Tarr – Allegheny River, Pennsylvania

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Musky

I'm a 14 year old from PA. I love musky fishing. The first musky lure I ever bought was a Mepps Musky Killer. I've caught a 42 inch musky and a monstrous once in a lifetime 52 and a half inch musky. In both situations, different spinners were presented to the muskies before I threw the Mepps. Now Mepps is a go too spinner for muskies!

Clint Reinhart – Little Lehigh, Pennsylvania

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow

Second cast at the spot along the creek. Trout went right for it. Biggest trout in the hole. This lure is one of a kind.

Eric Miller – Yellow Breeches, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

This is a very great product for use in lake or streams for trout.

Glenn Miller – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Musky - Trout, Rainbow

Mepps spinner baits have always been a consistent fish catcher. I regularly use the Comet to catch bass and crappie. This past Easter I used a number 5 Aglia dressed and hooked a 40" musky. You can't go wrong with Mepps spinners.

Clint Reinhart – Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Lure: Double Blade Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Musky - Pickerel

Awesome lure! Has caught a variety of fish and always attracts the large fish!

Pete Wise – East Licking Creek, Port Royal, Pennsylvania

Lure: Bantam Syclops

Fish Caught: Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

Ultralight spinning for trout is my passion, and I can always count on Mepps lures for success. On a recent trip to a favorite small stream, I caught and released native brook trout as well as wild rainbows and browns...all taken on a #0 Bantam Syclops spoon in silver and red. This great lure has never let me down. It is one of my "go to" lures for trout and panfish, and the larger Syclops are outstanding for river smallmouth bass! Simply put, Mepps lures catch fish when nothing else will.

James Mengel – Kaercher Creek Lake, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I'd been using scent baits all day long then I tried using the plain Aglia (gold, red, and white) and on the 4th cast got a 16 inch largemouth. Thank you Mepps this has been the first decent fish in months.

James Mengel – Lakes, Rivers, Streams, Pennsylvania

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Trout, Rainbow

This lure works perfectly in shallow streams and rivers where the current is fast and the water is clear. The fish can't resist going for this lure, it never fails. When the scent baits aren't working just pull out The Thunder Bug and watch the magic happen. This lure is a must for any species of trout; the #00 works the best in all silver.

James – Leaser Lake, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern - Trout, Brook - Trout, Rainbow

This lure works fantastic in deep rocky water where visibility is low. It retrieves smoothly and casts perfectly (as in weight). I use the No. 2 mainly and catch about 8 trout per day in the 9-11" inch range. The dressed lures even attract 2-3 lb. bass in at times. Overall a great lure made by the best in the business.

Andrew – Lakes, Ponds, Streams, Creeks, Rivers , Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

Like most other posts, this is the go-to-lure. When all else fails or fishing is tough and unpredictable this is the first thing I will turn to. Favorite is a number 3 with a red-white blade with a white tail. This became my favorite after this last weekend of fishing. I was fishing the Susquehanna River for smallmouth. We were using spinnerbaits in the early morning and caught a few nice fish, and then the bites stopped. Switched to the Mepps and started nailing fish. Caught 23 fish with this lure! There were a couple smaller fish, but, most were respectable sizes with a few 3-4 pounders. Love these lures and the great quality! Keep up the good work.

Joe Miller – Yellow Creek, Brush Creek, , Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia BRITE

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

The Aglia Brite has been a consistent lure for stream trout. It runs a little deeper and really draws attention. Great addition to the Mepp's line up.

George Lutz – Lake Wallenpaupack, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

Last week I fished with three great friends and fellow Bass fishermen. After an hour of throwing spinner bait of ever color in the spectrum, the team was skunked. I pulled out my trusted arsenal of Mepps Aglia and chose a 1/4 oz brass body with a silver/Red & White spinner blade. Within one hour, I had landed six very desirable Largemouth Bass ranging from 1 to 3 pounds. I have used the Mepps products for years and many more to come!! This is a great product without exception!!

Robbie Yanos – Birdsboro, Pennsylvania

Lure: Comet Mino

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

The water was getting really low and really clear. Therefore getting harder to catch fish. So, I went to one of my favorite spots along the Schuylkill River and I casted a size 1 Comet Mino. Before this, I never caught a fish on it and was still to be convinced. On the second cast, I got him. He gave a pretty good fight for his size. He came out to be around 10 inches. It may not seem big, but its average for the river I fish. Also, it's not the size that counts, but the fun you have reeling it in.

Robbie Yanos – Birdsboro, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

Today using the gold bladed size 2 brown tail Mepps Aglia, I caught a smallmouth. It was an amazing fight. The fish jumped over 2 feet in the air 4 times. The gold blade is amazing when it's slightly overcast or you're fishing under a tree. The fish ended up being 1.5 pounds 13 inches. It may not be big, but it's a whole lot more fun than catching tiny sunnies.

Robert Yanos – Birdsboro, Pa, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)

With these lures I almost always catch a fish(there isn't a large population of fish where I fish). I only have 5 different colors of the size 2, but they're all I need(unless I lose one). I caught the largest and most hard fighting freshwater fish of my life with a size 2 silver blade brown tail dressed Aglia. It was a 16 inch smallmouth(where I fish there isn't a big food source so that's just about as big as they get). This bait must of made the bass strike out of agression because when it hit I literally got mad because I thought it was a snag. Too bad I didn't have a scale with me(probably 2+ pounds.) Also when I got the lure out, I pulled all the dressing off the tail:( When I'm fishing for bass, sometimes, I get a real nice sized rock bass and they hit and fight hard also a really tough fighter for it's size. Again, I think they bite out of pure agression or they are just REALLY hungry. Hope you catch something "wait", let me rephrase that, "catch something big." You won't regret buying this lure. I've tried rooster tails, but the wire is cheap and bends with some of the smallest panfish. Another thing wrong with the rooster tail is that I found with some you have to dry them off or they rust with in a couple of weeks or so. Aslo it can be hard to make the spoon spin with them, but the Aglia's once they hit the water they start spinning.
I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH GET A MEPPS DRESSED AGLIA.

Roscoe Solley – NY, PA, GA, FL, Fl Keys, EVERYWHERE, Pennsylvania

Lure: Minos

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Perch, Yellow - Salmon, Coho (silver) - Salmon, Sockeye (red) - Steelhead - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Cutthroat - Trout, Lake - Trout, Rainbow - Trout, Sea/Speckled - Salmon, Chinook (king)

These Mino spinners have been one of the greatest lures I have ever used, everything likes them, to the point that I have several of each size in three different tackle boxes. When nothing is biting on anything I throw in, all I have to do is throw one of these in and let the fun begin. I prefer the chad, but also have the Rainbows just in case the weather turns bad, seems the worse the weather, the Rainbows work better. These are also good for SEA TROUT in southern FL. Great all around lures.

Stephan Peters – Cascade Quarry, Pennsylvania

Lure: XD

Fish Caught: Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Trout, Rainbow

It was one of those days where no one was catching anything. I was the only spin-caster at the quarry, everyone else was using bait. I usually use French spinners. My favorite is the discontinued Mepps Combo Killer but you can still make one from a Comet Minnow.
I don't usually use spinners with sonic blades, but I had an XD dressed I got in a Mepps discontinued grab bag in my tackle. I got EXCELLENT response! I was so thrilled with the XD I went straight to my usual sporting goods store to get a couple more.
They didn't have Mepps XD so I got a couple Panther Martins but I was very disappointed with the quality of the paint and the blade, and the dressing was actually glued into the blister pack so I lost half of it when I opened the pack.
I will always insist on Mepps XD from now on when I'm purchasing sonic spinners.
The only problem with the XD is bluegills really like them too.

Chris – Lake Paige, New Milford, Pennsylvania

Lure: DeepRunner

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I just got this lure and I was very surprised the first time I threw it in the water. It casts farther then any other spinner on the market and dives deep to the fish that are feeding on the bottem. I have to say this lure is unlike any other spinner in my box and highly recomend it if you're looking to catch a lot of fish. I never leave home without it!

Steven Hertkorn – Delaware Canal, Yardley, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia Long

Fish Caught: Pickerel

This was the first time I have ever used this small Aglia Long, the blade size was only a 1, but by my third cast, I had a pretty nice sized pickerel. This lure I bought from a small bait store and it seems to be an older one, the blade was weird, the packaging was different from the other Aglia Longs that I have bought. But this lure is one of my favorites and all I fish with is Mepps spinners.

Chad Vibostak – Chest Creek, Pennsylvania

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown

The Thunder Bug is the most productive spinner for trout I ever used. It out fishes any other lure in my box, it continues to catch trout at a high rate. I would recommend this lure to anybody.
