I fish Leech Lake in Walker Minnesota every year and can't keep the pike off of them best bait I have ever used. I have even caught Bass on them and a smaller Musky. I look forward to my trip this year. I need to stock up on my Mepps and pike!Lure: Black Fury

I have been fishing Mepps lures since I was a kid. I'm 58 now. I used to only use Black Fury's in muddy water. But one time I went fishing and the water was clear. But I already had a Black Fury tied on. So I decided to fish it a while before changing it. First cast, bam. Nice largemouth. Third cast, another. And I continued catching fish. Needless to say, I never changed the lure to an Aglia that day. Since then I have been using the Black Fury's a lot more. I think it is my most productive Mepps. My favorite is Fluorescent Red. Second is pink. I don't have any white yet, but I think they would be great as well. If you aren't fishing Black Fury's, you are missing out.
