Aglia Marabou Testimonials

Glenn Miller – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Musky - Trout, Rainbow

Mepps spinner baits have always been a consistent fish catcher. I regularly use the Comet to catch bass and crappie. This past Easter I used a number 5 Aglia dressed and hooked a 40" musky. You can't go wrong with Mepps spinners.

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White)

It has been awesome for me on largemouth, bluegill and crappie.

Damon Severson – Black River, Wisconsin , United States Minor Outlying Islands

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth

This bait I use for aggressive smallmouth, they hammer it in rapids. This is a great bass lure!

Derrick Broeckel – Eau Claire River, Antigo, Wisconsin

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Trout, Brook

The #0 Aglia Marabou with the copper blade and brown body is dynamite for brook trout during or right after rainstorms. I can't begin to describe how well this particular color combination works in that type of conditions. The marabou tail works wonders, I think it pulsates and attracts fish way more than a squirrel tail. This is the best bait Mepps has come out with in a long long time.

Mark Dobin – Michigan

Lure: Aglia Marabou

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Pike, Northern

Wow is this lure amazing. I have always used Aglias, but, the standard version. This new Marabou version came out so I decided to try it. This lure is really somthing. It gives it so much more action in the water. With the regular Aglia tail it doesnt really move and stays stiff, but, with the Marabou tail it really has ALOT more action and makes it look way more lively. I went up to Michigan fishing and I absolutly slayed bass/rock bass/pike. It was nonstop catching. Using a #2 silver blade/white tail. It was impossible not to catch them, it was nearly every cast, and most of these bass were a good 3 lbs each! I had also tried a #5 silver blade/white tail and caught the biggest northen pike I had ever caught. You can't go wrong with a Mepps Aglia and the Marabou tail really gave me more love for the lure than ever. Pick one up they work!
