Drove 2 hours out from Portland, Oregon, to the furthest northwest corner of Oregon, near where the Columbia River flows into the Pacific Ocean. The coho salmon run close to shore here allowing you to cast off the river beach and land nice salmon. This very nice hatchery coho was about 20 yards out and hit the Flying C like a truck. I brought it ashore, bonked it, and gave it the gentlemen fishing near me to take home and enjoy.
