I originally purchased this jig to add to my ice fishing arsenal looking to land some larger Walleye. After it arrived in the mail I was off to the ice to see what it would produce. I tipped the hook with a small minnow and set it off down the hole to work its' magic. For the most part I let the hair of the jig and the minnow do all the work, only giving it small jigs every now and then. Before long, I landed a fish. I could tell it was a big fish, but only until I got it out of the hole could I fully appreciate the beauty of a 30 inch Musky. My son (4) absolutely loves fishing and asked me if we could go on a special trout-fishing trip together. Having very little experience with fishing for trout, I did a bit of research ahead of time. We were going to be fishing in the Driftless Region where the streams are small enough that spin fishing is an excellent choice. The Mepps Thunder Bug let us "match the hatch" for grasshoppers and I custom-ordered a few single-hooked versions for catch and release. The smallmouth can't leave this bait alone -- just caught my PR this evening! I tend to not like fishing treble hooks, so I was pleased to pick up the Black Fury Weedless Combo Killer, which features a single hook and a soft plastic keeper for Mr. Twister Curly Tail Grubs (3 grubs are included in the package). I was suspect of the bayonet-style keeper at first, but it seems to work fine, even in the faster currents of the rivers and creeks where I do most of my fishing. Hooksets are automatic, and fish stay pinned while doing their smallmouth acrobatics. I bought the #2 size in white/black and it casts well, but now I'm wishing I would have picked up the #3 size as well for when I need the extra casting distance. First time ever fishing with this lure. This evening I caught my largest bass of my lifetime at roughly 23in. which state record is 23.5in. I'm impressed and will definitely be using Mepps more often. I'm hooked.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

I've only had this lure a couple of weeks and I've already caught over 25 bass and 2 Flathead Catfish with the #3 Aglia. It's the only lure I'll use when I go out to ponds and lakes looking for bass from now on. It was suggested to me by a guy at a large retail store who said the Aglia was the only lure he has in his bass fishing arsenal and now I see why.Lure: Black Fury

I am a huge fan of the lime green(chartreuse dot) colored #3 Black Fury spinner. When I look back at all of the fish I have caught recently, 90% of them have been caught using the Black Fury. I love this lure! It is the only lure in my tackle box and I will go in after it I lose it on a snag (speaking from experience!!) I have even converted one of my non-believer friends into using them. I guess he finally got tired of watching me catch all the fish while he got skunked. Please, please, please NEVER STOP MAKING THIS LURE!!!! Went to Canada one year with a group of guys that had been going there for years. I didn't have probably the best equipment as I didn't know what I was getting into, but I did bring with me a handful of Mepps Musky Killers in number 5 single hook. I took a little abuse from the guys as they all had a lot better equipement and bigger stuff. By the end of the week I had boated a lot of the big fish. Mepps is my absolute pick, I love throwing the Tandems in the Musky Killers. Thanks for making such a good product and thanks for making my Canada trip one to remember. The number 5 red/white Agila with a brown tail is a great one for northern, it is also good for musky.
