2009 - September Testimonials

Matt Furman – Fooks Pond, Maryland

Lure: Aglia Streamer

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Pickerel

I have used almost every Mepps lure type available and must say that the Aglia Streamer will by far outfish most. I have caught sunfish, bass, and pickerel on the same trip while using the streamer and others around have been using Mepps and only caught a few fish. They are a bit pricey but I am willing to pay for the amount of fish they catch.

Mark W. Emmith – Various Lakes In Mid-Maine, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern

My girlfriend and I fish #5 Mepps dressed Aglias almost exclusively in mid-Maine lakes and ponds. Depending on weather, light conditions and water color we will choose the white dressed Aglia or the yellow dressed Black Fury.

We have had to buy multiples of each lure since some days they get chomped so badly that the dressing and paint get destroyed especially by the pike and big pickerel.

We have been experimenting with other color combos based on waht we see in the online catalog as well as on the Cabela's shelf on our weekly stop in Maine.

Thanks for some great lures. We already have three patches from the Master Angler program and are hoping to each be at four before year-end.

Clive Webster – River Exe, Exeter, Devon, England United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Sea - Mackerel - Pike, Northern - Salmon, Atlantic - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow - Trout, Sea/Speckled

In England these lures are dissappearing, no one stocks them and can't be bothered to get them, I see the Comets have dissappeared from the catalog as well, darn shame, best Salmon & Trout catchers going, if there's a fish in the pool, second if not first cast guanteed.
Bring back Silver-Blue dot and Silver-Red dot Comets in sizes 3,4 & 5!!!!
