Lure: Basser Kit - Dressed #3 Aglia Assortment
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
Mepps is the only lure of its type that I will use. The number #1 lure I grab for in my tackle box is always a Mepps spinner. I own over 40 products from Mepps and I can tell you from experience you can never go wrong with fishing 1 of these.Lure: Trouter Kit - #0 and #1 Aglia Assortment
Fish Caught: Trout, Brown
I like the large lure selection.Lure: XD
Fish Caught: Bluegill (Bream, Brim)
I have been using Mepps spinners for as long as I have been fishing. If I had to go into the wilderness and bring just one lure to catch fish to survive on it would undoubtably be a Mepps spinner, and my first choice would be a Mepps XD spinner. The size 0 XD dressed is the best Bluegill lure ever and catches the BIGGEST bluegill of any lure I have tried. I've also caught some of my biggest trout and crappie on the XD spinner. I NEVER leave home without a good selection of XD's.Lure: DeepRunner
Fish Caught: Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown
This lure drives trout crazy.. its my go to lure. I think I caught more fish on this one lure then any spinner out there..Lure: Aglia Long
Fish Caught: Pickerel
On August 7th 2009, I caught a 29 inch pickerel on a Mepps Aglia Long #3 with a Silver prism style blade. I was throwing it next to a stick pile in shallow water(maybe 4 feet or so)using a meduim retrieve, when all of the sudden the pickerel hit the bait so hard it nearly ripped the rod right out of my hand. It jumped 2 ft out of the water. I fought it for 15 minutes before landing it. The pickerel was 4 lbs 2 ounces. I went to have it weighed and it was 1/2 pound off from receiving a state pin. Thanks MEPPS!!!!! This bait rules. Keep up the good work.Lure: Aglia Long Ultra Lites
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow
I use the Ultra-Light Aglia Long, with the gold blade almost exclusively now, unless I'm using the Aglia Long with a silver blade! It's my go-to lure and with it I've caught very many trout, and also quite a few smallmouth bass. The quality of craftsmanship is obvious - this lure looks like a piece of jewelry!Lure: Aglia Ultra Lites
Fish Caught: Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Rainbow
I've never found a better, more consistently effective trout lure than the Mepps 00 Ultra Lite dressed single. Maroon, black, and white have all worked exceptionally for me. I've caught countless brookies and rainbows on Wisconsin and Upper Michigan streams. It fools even the most wiley native trout. I've caught smallmouth, bluegill, perch, you name it on this lure. 2-pound smooth casting line, an ultra lite rod and reel set-up, and a Mepps 00 is all I need on the water.Lure: XD
Fish Caught: Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Trout, Rainbow
It was one of those days where no one was catching anything. I was the only spin-caster at the quarry, everyone else was using bait. I usually use French spinners. My favorite is the discontinued Mepps Combo Killer but you can still make one from a Comet Minnow.Lure: Timber Doodle
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth
When I was four I caught a 21 inch 3 pound bass but my father had to reel it it cause of the size, and it was awesome. I used the Timber Doodle every since, now I'm 21.Lure: Panfish Pocket Pac - Aglia BRITE
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
I've used many lures but the Mepps spinners are the best by far. I've caught a five pound largemouth bass, a seven pound grass carp, and a ten pound channel catfish. Mepps rule!!!
