Testimonial:The Mepps #3 gold with the brown tail is by far my favorite lure in my tackle box. I will not head out fishing if I don't have one. I have caught all of the fish listed above on a gold #3 with a brown tail. I typically target Northern pike, but will frequently catch Bass, and other fish, unintentionally. The best pike I ever caught was around 40 inches, but I have caught countless others over the years. Whenever someone asks my advice on fishing, I recommend the Mepps #3 and tell them that is all they will ever need.

Testimonial:This is possibly the greatest fishing lure ever devised, it can be fished deep, shallow, fast or, slow. I caught my personal best bass, my personal best pike, and my personal best trout on this lure. I have never had a better lure than this, the next time that I see this lure I will buy 10. Thank you, Mepps!

Testimonial:I bought the lure being a little skeptical seeing not very many reviews or product testing; even on YouTube there wasn't much. I bought the Black Fury in sizes 1,2 and 3. The number 2 & 3 are awesome! It's almost every other cast you'll get something on the Black Fury. The catch was almost 3lbs and I just recently caught an 8lb largemouth. It's an awesome lure and is a fish magnet. A must have for anybody who loves to throw a lure around.

Testimonial:My family and I head north to Ontario, Canada every year. The first few years we would take tackle box among tackle box with everything and the kitchen sink. The third year we stopped at a small tackle and bait shop in Red Lake, ON and picked up a couple of the Mepps Syclops. Figured we would give them a try. The clerk said they worked well. Have not looked back since. They work especially well for Pike, troll with them and you'll get plenty of walleye. I lean towards the Firetiger. Every year I bring one home that didn't get lost and it is just mutilated and scarred from catching so many. Great lures. For the price there is no reason to not have at least one. Thanks Mepps.

Testimonial:I remember I showed up to a spot my friend showed me and I really wasn't sure what kind of fish were in this pit. I just had a gold undressed Mepps number 2 size spinner on and I threw it in the corner of this pond. Next thing ya know I thought I had a big snag, but, sure enough I reeled in a 36" northern pike...

Testimonial:Whenever I go out fishing anywhere I always make sure I carry AT LEAST 2 Black Fury's dressed. My personal preference is Black/Chartreuse in a #5. I have caught countless Northerns on these (and I only retire them after the paint and stickers are mostly shredded off by teeth marks). I currently have 3 of them with all of the paint stripped off and another on the way. They produce bar none. I had a fishing competition just this past week. Fishing was real rough as only 4 Northerns were caught. 3 of them were by me with the Black Fury. I have never gone out with this lure and not caught a fish. I am amazed at the successfulness of this lure and highly recommend it to all of my friends and anyone else who is reading this! Mepps has my loyalty and money for life!

Testimonial:The Gold #00 Syclops was a killer bait. I found it on shore one day and never knew Mepps made spoons and since the white bass run was on, I was psyched to try it out. And, man did it catch the whites bad. I outfished all of my friends who were tossing small Daredevils and Twister. I caught some walleye and pike while I was at it, too, but as soon as I went to try a different bait, I didn't catch a single fish after. I guess they just love the erratic action of the Syclops.

Testimonial:Here's a wonderfully true testimonial of the #2 brown squirrel tail Mepps. In 1975, I met a fellow in law school. We became, and have remained, best friends for the past 40 years. A few years after we graduated from law school, we were able to afford a fly in fishing trip to Canada. I took every northern and walleye lure known to man, as well as a bucket full of nightcrawlers. The weather was perfect for our four day trip. Only problem was nothing was biting. We trolled for hours...and then days. I pulled out a #2 Squirrel Tail Mepps, a bait I'd often used for bass in Kansas farm ponds. I had no expectation that it would work on walleye or notheren in Canada, but, I was scraping the bottom of the barrel. The instant the #2 Mepps hit the water, all of mother nature expoded! One helluve big northern brought to net. Every cast, another big northern. I gladly offered one to my friend Steve. He met the same success as I. For 40 years now we've made our fly in trips to Canada...we've taken our sons when they got old enough, and now we're taking our grandsons. We always fish first with our #2 Mepps. It has become a legend for three generations of us.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bass, White - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, White - Walleye
Testimonial:I have been trolling spinners and crankbaits for 30 years. I have tried every spinner on the market. For 2 years I fished the pro bass circuit in the 70s. I fish at least 2 days a week. When you are tolling there is absoleutly nothing that will catch as many fish as the Mepps XD spinners. You need to use a ball bearing swivel and 10lb braid line or 8lb monofilament line. Saturday my son and I went fishing and caught one 5lb Walleye, 3 crappie over 12" and 19 white bass on these Mepps XD spinners. We also caught 12 hybrids that were an average of 2 lbs. And, we threw back 6 crappies over 11" long. The Mepps XD is the most reliable bait you can use while casting or trolling.

Testimonial:Fished Lake Erie the week of April 18-25 in and around the Bass Islands. The water was a little cold (44F)for crawler harnesses, still did really well on the Trolling Rig at slow speeds all through the water column. (10-45 feet back with one ounce)We did the best on blue, crayfish and firetiger colors with Colorado Blades. If you are using them with large fish, change the trailer hooks out to larger hooks.
I can hardly wait to use it this summer here in Wisconsin. The extra bulk of the lure proved itself on Lake Erie for big eyes.

Testimonial:From 0 to number 5 these baits always work. Best baits in the world. My go-to bait every time I'm out. These lures will catch just about everything. Caught my 38-inch northern pike out of the Great Miami River. My mounted 29-inch northern. Catch smallmouth all day long with these. Double blades are also great. Silver blades with white bucktail. Also, the ones without a bucktail with the orange plastic piece works great. Great product, good prices. Wish I could fish for a living.

Testimonial:I am a huge fan of the lime green(chartreuse dot) colored #3 Black Fury spinner. When I look back at all of the fish I have caught recently, 90% of them have been caught using the Black Fury. I love this lure! It is the only lure in my tackle box and I will go in after it I lose it on a snag (speaking from experience!!) I have even converted one of my non-believer friends into using them. I guess he finally got tired of watching me catch all the fish while he got skunked. Please, please, please NEVER STOP MAKING THIS LURE!!!! Thank you for such a great product and all of the joy it has given me in my fishing adventures!!

Testimonial:I can't say enouph about the Aglia. I have cought many diffrent kinds of fish with this spinner. The Aglia will catch anything. This spring I have already caught hundreds of bass and haven't used hardly anything else.
I have already caught three award-winning trout for the Mepps Awards. Monster trout that weighs up to and including the three pound class. Last weekend I caught the biggest crappie of my life. A one pound nine ounce white crappie out of a farm pond. I will have a pick up soon in the picture section on this site. I have used Mepps for over twenty years (about 1989) and love and respect anything Mepps puts out there. This spinner can run at almost any depth as long as you retrive it slow enouph to turn the blades and you can run it as low as five to eight feet. I use the 1/4 ounce #3 for bass and trout,#0 and #1 for crappie and other panfish, #5 for large bass and carp... anything really big. I have been a fan and always will be forever. Mepps is a part of my life and thats something I will never regret.

Testimonial:I have fished the Syclops for so long I don't remember using any other spoon. The Syclops can be casted, jigged or trolled. It is deadly throgh the ice or casting for bass. The #00 is excelent for crappie and trout and the #1 and #2 is promising for bass, walleye and other larger fish. I dont think you can fish this spoon wrong, just put it in the water and pull them out. Silver, gold and the black-and-white are good colors. The colored spoons are good with single hooks with a Mister Twister Grub.

Testimonial:The Aglia might be my spinner during the day, but, when it comes to low light evenings or overcast days where there is little sunlight, I go to the Black Fury. Yellow and florescent red are my faves. Just throw it and reel it in. It catches anything. Thanks, Mepps, you are my number one lure.

Testimonial:In July of 2011 I was fishing (trolling) on Lake Plantagenet using a #4 Mepps Dressed Aglia Hot Firetiger with a brown tail when I caught a 41 inch Musky. You can only imagine how excited I was to catch the "fish of 10,000 casts" - especially since we weren't fishing for Muskies and none of us had ever caught one before! But the story doesn't end there. One year later, in July of 2012, I caught two more Muskies using the SAME LURE on the SAME LAKE in the SAME SPOT! What incredible luck - or what an incredible lure!! I love my Mepps!

Testimonial:The Syclops lure year after year proves to be the TOP lure in my tackle box. I used to use only orange, but have recently found that experimenting with different colors has a huge reaction to fish strikes depending on the weather, water temp, etc. This past June in Canada, Northern were chasing the orange, but slamming the silver Syclops. It made for a wonderful trip and an addition to my wall with 38" Northern with a 16" Girth. Thank You Mepps!

Testimonial:I'm completely In Love with this lure. I came across it a few years ago. And it quickly became my "lucky" lure. It's pretty much all I use. I try it right away everywhere I stop. And you can seem to use it anywhere. And you never know what might hit. I feel completely heartbroken every time I lose one. Most of the time it's been to gigantic fish that broke the line, or other faults of mine.

Testimonial:This lure is amazing! I had one that lasted me 2 years of heavy use until it got snagged and the line broke. But, it paid its dues producing well over 100 fish, mostly pike, and now I'm ordering 5 more I'm so impressed, best lure ever! Its practically cheating.

Testimonial:Yep, these lures catch about almost anything and everything. Size of what a Mepps can catch that is alive, ranges from minnows to children and everything in between (in my father's case that is). When you put on a Mepps Aglia it feels like you're cheating in the fishing world, it's just that damn good. Anyways the colors my family have used and been successful on are: orange painted with either the black or grey tail, the Brown Trout with a grey tail, the Rainbow Trout paint with white or grey tail, silver blade and white tail, hot pink paint and black tail with a red feather down the middle. Really every single one of the colors works, if the color you have isn't working, keep switching to a different color until you find one that works. To cut down your searching time, ask other people at the dock or on the lake fishing what color they have been catching fish on, or go by how dark or light it is outside. Dark colors on a dark day and bright colors on a bright day. Oh, and we use size #'s 3,4,5,and Musky Killers.

Testimonial:Last year a friend and went on an all day fishing excursion on Lake Winnie. Both of us used the Syclops which is the only lure I carry when fishing for pike. We ended up with 46 Northern and 1 walleye on the day. A few in the 8 pound range but mostly 1-5 pounders. It was the best day of fishing I have ever had in my life and I owe it all to the Syclops. We were using Blue/Silver and Silver/Pink. Both #3's.

I just got back tonight from another trip to Winnie. I was there for 3 days and I ended up with 24 northern and 1 walleye. Nothing over 5 pounds but I did snap off on something HUGE. 15Lb Test at the boat. Never saw it. Again I owe is all to the Syclops and those same 2 color schemes. I will be ordering 10 of each before my trip next year.

Fish Caught:Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Walleye
Testimonial:About a month ago, I placed an on-line Mepps order for several spinners. Through a fabulous Mepps promo, I received 2 free "Little Wolf" spoons which I used for the first time yesterday; and what a day!
I had about 2 hours to kill after work, so I decided to hit one of my favorite little streams close to home.
I started out fishing my normal "go-to" lure (a Mepps #1 Aglia Long), and was catching my fair share of fish, when I came to a slightly deeper stretch of water. I was just about to tie on a bottom bouncing lures of some kind, when I rememebered that I had my new "Little Wolf" with me, and thought, "now's as good a time as any to give 'em a try". - Boy, am I glad I had that thought. I caught all of the above mentioned species and then some. I also landed a couple of sauger, and a few spotted bass (one of which was about 2 pounds). In about an hour-and-half, I landed somewhere in the vicinity of 40 fish in all on this lure.
The Mepps "Little Wolf" certainly made a believer out of me, and has been added to my list of favorite lures.
