This fish was a lot of fun, and was also my first pure musky! I had caught tigers and pleny 'o northern's before, but not a pure musky. So you could say that I am most definitely a Musky newbie (but now have the FEVER!!) but had done a fair amount of research where to find them. I found what seemed to me to be a prerfect spot on this lake. It was a rocky point that transitioned to cabbage with a big pine laydown at the tip. I threw just past the pine and reeled in perpendicular to it. When the spinner got close to the boat, I felt the line go slack. I looked down and saw this dude w\ it in his mouth! I reeled in as much of the slack as I could without putting any pressure on the line and set the hook! He put up a great fight! We netted, measured, took a photo, and releseased!
