I got this fish holding the spinner in the current in a small pool in front of a small log jam. I saw the fish come up and turn to the side. I never felt him hit, but knew when he turned he had my spinner. So I set the hook hard. The fish went crazy and went right under a big log. I decided to open my bail set my rod on the log and run up the trail to the other side and hopefully be able to pull the fish out. So I went to the other side and got my rod. Lucky for me the fish thought it was off the hook and stayed under the log without wrapping me up. I reeled in my line and I pulled the fish out. He fought a liittle more then I landed him. It was funny to out smart the fish today. Fun catch thanks to Mepps!
