I got this giant Steelhead holding the spinner in the current in a deep pool. I was about to bring the spinner in when this fish came out of nowhere to slam my Mepps. When the fish hit, it scared my friend and I because of how big it was and the fact that it hit so close to where we were standing in the water. Once hooked it ran all over the place. It took me into 4 different logs. I had to hand the rod to my friend while I went in the pool to get my line out of all the logs. Lucky for me because once I got the line in my hand, the fish turned around and came back out from under the first log he wrapped me in. Then my friend handed the rod back to me and I was able to finally land the fish. I never got a weight on this fish because I wanted to release it unharmed. But it's probally pretty close to 20lbs. What a fun catch thanks to Mepps!
