This was the first trip I took my wife fishing. We fished for perch most of the day and did well. I wanted to switch it up and catch something a little larger for my wife to see. We moved about 10 miles up the lake on the edge of a rocky drop off and I set up to catch smallmouth bass. On my second cast, I caught this monster pike. My wife was ecstatic!! After a sucessfull release, I landed two nice smallmouth bass around 3 lbs. All three fish were landed on the same Mepps spinner with in a total of 20 min. One of the best fishing experiences of my life. Not to mention my wife is now hooked on fishing thanks to a sucessful trip on behalf of a great lure!!!!
