My father and I enjoy fishing with one another and we know of a small pond that has great panfish and some nice largemouth bass in it. One afternoon we decided to take a few casts when I got a hit on my Mepps that surprised me. I was fishing with ultralight tackle and a number two Mepps Aglia. As I was fighting the fish I saw how wide it was and its color and realized it was a Crappie. When I landed the fish I was amazed because it was the biggest Crappie I have ever caught in my life! My father and I measured it and thought for sure it was a Fish Ohio qualifier. For the rest of time we fished that pond we casted Mepps into a specific corner of the pond and caught three more large crappie. It was a great day of fishing with a Mepps.
