Caught this Northern in Rockford, Illinois on May 14th, 2015 in Kent Creek.
A lot of Northern frequent this creek, as it lies off the Rock River. Usually this big of fish isn't in here this late of year, but the water was high and they were still cruising looking for late spring bait fish. I hooked up with this fish with again one of my favorite go to lures that I've used as a kid. A #5 Mepps with a pink blade and a black tail. Biggest fish I've caught in a creek on rod and reel.
