We fish Lac Vieux Desert every year, and I buy 8 or 10 #5 black & whites every year because the northern crush them and the bucktails get chewed up pretty quickly. We had fished all week with a ton of northern and a few bass but only one muskie follow. The morning we were to head home there was a muskie tournament and a lot of boats on the lake. At 740 AM the muskie hit on a light spin casting rod/reel with 20 lbs braided line. My wife Sue did a great job getting ready, and she netted and took some great photos on this dandy. She measured it at 45", but it was pretty heavy so might have been a bit bigger. It swam away strong, and we hope to see her again in the future. Mepps #5 black & white - best lure ever to feed the family or catch a beauty.
