My first fishing trip ever. My husband and my dad finally convinced me to go to Canada. I love to fish but in all honesty, went more for the photo opportunity. It took me a while to get the feel for a snag or a fish. The daily tip was "Every fish is a weed and every weed is a fish!" We caught fish every day but my dream was that one big Musky! My dad and my grandpa always told stories about the thrill of catching those beautiful beasts! The last day of our trip, as storm clouds began to roll in, I cast into a weedy bay and thought I was snagged again. I jerk my pole to the right, then to the left and thought this is no weed! As I reeled and pulled, the rush of adrenaline and anticipation overwhelmed me! This fish was fighting like crazy! After an intense battle my husband netting this huge monster! When he came into the boat my husband shouted "holy **** it's a Musky Jenn!" What an amazing feeling! He was 40 inches long but we had no scale to get the weight. He was a fatty though! lol! We snapped a quick picture and released him. I'm already planning next years trip with my silver,red and white #4 Mepps!
