Fishing the main lake on Lake Champlain. Normally wouldn't be using a Mepps this size as the Smallmouth are very big and aggressive. They were feeding on baitfish which you could see them spitting up each time you caught one and they were the exact size of a Mepps 2 and they were silver. Caught this one on a light action rod and 6lb test off of a shelf in main lake. Caught several 4 lbs. fish as well best 5 would have been over 24 lbs. on a little Mepps 2. Had a blast.
