Heck of a fight on a medium light Abu Garcia spinning combo with 15 lb line. The fish was 12 lbs according to my Addiction baits grippers (not sure how accurate they are). Had to keep my drag pretty loose to avoid the line snapping. Took about 15 minutes to drag it through the thick grass mats. Completely swallowed my Mepps. I had no action for a couple hours, and almost threw in the towel but all of a sudden BOOM. They are incredible fish to catch. Not my biggest, but biggest I’ve caught on a Mepps!
