Lure: Bucktail Jig
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern - Walleye
On this Northwest Ontario Lake practically all of the fish caught for two days was on this ¼ oz brown over orange jig. A 38" pike, a personal best 30" walleye and two trophy smallies. Plus countless walleyes and smallmouths. At the end of two days a pike ruined what remained of this hair jig and I mourned that I didn't have an extra jig. This is a true multi-species lure. I'm returning next year and you know what I'm going back with.Lure: Bucktail Jig
Fish Caught: Musky
I originally purchased this jig to add to my ice fishing arsenal looking to land some larger Walleye. After it arrived in the mail I was off to the ice to see what it would produce. I tipped the hook with a small minnow and set it off down the hole to work its' magic. For the most part I let the hair of the jig and the minnow do all the work, only giving it small jigs every now and then. Before long, I landed a fish. I could tell it was a big fish, but only until I got it out of the hole could I fully appreciate the beauty of a 30 inch Musky. Mepps is one of only brands of lures that I use and the results speak for themselves.
