Casts like a bullet... Drops Quickly... Runs Deep...

Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver) - Steelhead - Trout, Rainbow - Salmon, Chinook (king)
I've caught various salmon and trout species on the Mepps Flying C. As a Pacific Northwest angler with some of the best salmon and trout fisheries in the world, it is one of my go spots for spinner fishing and trolling. I've gotten a chance to try every color, so here's what works. All the glow blade series works great for coho and chinook while trolling. Anything pink, specifically the all pink blade, works best for coho river fishing, running it deep. Where chartreuse and chartreuse glow work great for chinook and cutthroat trout. I've found that the blade spins better and stays deeper if you bend the blade to the side. It adds to the presentation and adds more chatter within the river. I've found the only size that works best for me is the heavy body 7/8 oz, and I typically replace hooks as soon as I get them. The Mepps Flying C is a great lure. Good luck, fellow anglers!Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
Shore fishing on the opening day of trout season and all the boat activity had driven the fish deep. I was using a bait caster so decided to throw a Hot Orange Flying C with a treble hook to see if I could get out a bit further and deeper. No luck with the trout but landed a beauty of a Northern Pike that hit on my first cast about 35 yards out and fought the whole way in.Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth
This is a unique lure designed for Salmon but I've caught nothing but big Bass (Largemouth and Smallmouth). The one I have is an older FLYING-C, #4 Silver Blade, (Yellow) sleeve not the Chartreuse(Greenish), single hook, no trailer. Absolutely fantastic action and flash. Now I know why they're called FLYING-C's, they cast a country mile and can be fished at any depth by varying retrieve speed. Great for Walleye and Silver Bass too!Fish Caught: Salmon, Quananiche (landlocked)
Bought a Glo Pink Blade/Pink Sleeve Flying C to try to get to the bottom of a deep pool with a very fast current. Caught two huge spawning landlocked salmon in 45 minutes when no one else who was fishing there could get anything down to the fish due to the current. Just purchased a dozen more flying C's. It lives up to it's billing for getting deep and both salmon committed to crushing this lure. Awesome.Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver)
The Flying C at 5/8 and treble hook in glo pink is the best silver salmon lure I have ever used.Fish Caught: Salmon, Kokanee
5/8 oz pink body silver spinner caught kokanee all day trolling with an additional 1/2 to 3/4 ounce lead trolling weight.Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver)
I bought samples of Flying Cs from Northern Ireland in late 80s or early nineties and introduced them on both rivers in Yakutat. They were an immediate success!Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow
The rainbow trout sure like these things. Caught trout both trolling and casting them. The trout here run 3-5 lbs, but, both 5/8 and 7/8 ounce spinners work, trolling and casting as well. Worst thing is my 12 year old niece was the one who turned me onto these spinners. Chartreuse seems to be what the trout want to eat.Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver)
I purchased (2) 6 packs of lures thru the internet from Mepps for Christmas this past year after spending 6 days on the Sound at Valdez. We were there in August and limited out every day using our Mepps.Write a product testimonial and share your fishing experiences with other customers.
