I was fishin on the Rum River when this nice smallie hit my lure. I knew he was bigger than the 3 pounders that I had previously been catching, but when he first jumped, my heart skipped a beat. After it jumped 3 times and pulled out my drag I finally got him on the dock. Some canoers were kind enough to take a few pictures for me because at the time I couldn't figure out the self timer on the camera. He turned out to be 20 inches and 5 1/2 lbs. He was released and swam away unharmed.
