While wading through what is now my favorite stream with my brother Brian, I spotted a group of bushes and small trees at the edge of the creek forming what almost looked like a cave over the water. I made mention to my brother that if one of us were to get lucky enough to land a cast in the realm of the hollowed out brush, we were sure to pull out a lunker. Just as I spit the words out, my #1 florescent orange decaled Aglia Long splashed in right at the back of the leafy cavern. I made one mere turn of the reel, and the FIGHT was on. This magnificent 3lbs, 4oz beauty slammed my spinner and gave one of the best 3 minute battles I've been blessed to encounter. Woo Hoo!
Few things are greater than landing a big smallie on light tackle. Thanks to Mepps, it's been a common occurence for me this summer.
