After already having caught 12 Brown Trout on the #00 Black Thunder Bug i came to the last run of fast water that i was going to fish before calling it a day.Across the other side of the river I could see a small flat strip of water that had some tea trees overhanging it right at the edge of the fast water.A perfect cast of some 35feet was needed to place the bug spinner into it and a perfect cast it was too. Within seconds of it hitting the water a Nice solid Brown Trout of 1kg (2lbs) smashed into it and screamed of downstream in a hell of a hurry. After playing this fish for 5 minutes and having it leap out of the river around 6 times I finally got the upper hand and landed this beautiful specimen. I did then decide to fish on four another hour and caught another 8 Brown Trout finishing off a great 4 hours of fishing. The Mepps Black Thunder Bug caught every Brown Trout during this fishing session and stood up to the task extremely well, and all I did was to hone the hooks to keep them sharp.
