Lure: Comet Mino
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
As ridiculous as this lure looks it has caught more northerns than any other lure in my tackle box. The spinning blade attracts them while the body provides something for them to home in on so the northerns rarely miss. I used one with a #3 silver blade because that was the biggest one I could find and it caught fish. I recently ordered a big one with a #5 gold blade because I have had good luck with gold and I'm glad I did. Thanks Mepps!Lure: Black Fury
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth
Um, well, I happened along the Black Fury by accident really. Although I only have 4x 16' bass in my freezer, in the last 1.5 months, I have caught more than 60 Smallmouth Bass ranging from 6" up to 16". I have two severely abused Black Furry lures(#4's) with paint chipping off, and The fish honestly will not leave it alone. Wish I had a camera to show what I'm saying. I have never had this much fun fishing.Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)
I purchased a Hot Orange/Chartreuse size #2 two days ago, Sept 3, 2012 and went fishing for salmon last night, around 8pm. On the Third Cast, I hooked a 16lb Chinook length was 31-32".Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Musky - Pike, Northern - Walleye
In July of 2011 I was fishing (trolling) on Lake Plantagenet using a #4 Mepps Dressed Aglia Hot Firetiger with a brown tail when I caught a 41 inch Musky. You can only imagine how excited I was to catch the "fish of 10,000 casts" - especially since we weren't fishing for Muskies and none of us had ever caught one before! But the story doesn't end there. One year later, in July of 2012, I caught two more Muskies using the SAME LURE on the SAME LAKE in the SAME SPOT! What incredible luck - or what an incredible lure!! I love my Mepps!
