Simon Duringer – Rawthey, United Kingdom United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Sea/Speckled

I've fished with MEPPS since 1989 and they have always proved to be the #1 go-to spinner for Trout, Sea-Trout and Salmon. Yesterday, I had 2 nice fish (very unusual for a single day on this local river); 2 x Sea Trout - both on a Gold MEPPS Size 3 Aglia. You guys simply ROCK :-)

Nick Smith – Grand Union Canal, Near Aston Clinton (UK) United Kingdom

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Perch, Yellow

An excellent lure for autumn fishing in the relatively shallow water of the canal (max. depth: 6 feet). Caught 12 fish including 9 perch - lovely hard fighters - with three to a 1.5lbs and 2 pike to 5lbs, which is excellent for this hard fished water. Autumn is the perfect time for lure fishing as the predators are hungry and fattening up for the winter. Most of the hits came in the late afternoon as the light start to fade. High contrast day of bright sun and shadow. Lure moves beautifully in the water, mimicking a small perch - it looked like the black stripes on its side. Highly recommend this lure.

Michael Chakrabarty – River Thames United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I live in the south of England where there are many lakes and rivers near me. I nagged my sister to get me a Mepps that I wanted so she got me a number 1 in silver. Long story short, the first time I went out with it I lost it in a tree, but, a month later my dad got it back. And, since then, I've caught more fish on it than anything else. Perch, here, love it and I caught 13 on Halloween under an hour which is still my record and will stand for many years probably. It's quite simply the best lure money can get you.

Peter Edwards – Bridgewater Canal, Manchester, UK United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I use the Mepps Aglia Fluorescent's in UK canals, I believe that the Aglia Fluorescent is only available in Europe, and the US version is the Aglia Glo. Since I started using the Mepps Aglia Fluorescent in the canals of the North West of England, I simply haven't stopped catching fish. The main two predators in UK canals are Perch and Pike, and I have caught both species with great regularity using the Aglia Fluorescent. In fact, since I started using the Aglia Fluorescent's several weeks ago now, there has not been one single fishing session where I have failed to catch a fish. The high visibility of the Aglia Fluorescent is absolutely deadly in the cloudy waters of UK canals.

Clive Webster – River Exe, Exeter, Devon, England United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Sea - Mackerel - Pike, Northern - Salmon, Atlantic - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow - Trout, Sea/Speckled

In England these lures are dissappearing, no one stocks them and can't be bothered to get them, I see the Comets have dissappeared from the catalog as well, darn shame, best Salmon & Trout catchers going, if there's a fish in the pool, second if not first cast guanteed.
Bring back Silver-Blue dot and Silver-Red dot Comets in sizes 3,4 & 5!!!!

Dennis Lendrem – Fishers of Rothbury, England United Kingdom

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Sea/Speckled

Comfortably the most popular spinner in the UK. The simple silver, gold and copper account for some of the best fish taken in this country. Popularly used for fishing salmon and sea trout throughout the UK. These are a "must-have" on any serious fishng trip.

Dennis Lendrem – Fishers of Rothbury, England United Kingdom

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Trout, Sea/Speckled

The black and yellow has long been a favorite with UK fishers in pursuit of large wild brown trout. Increasingly though the Black Fury has been used as a sea trout and salmon lure. I strongly recommend the black and fluorescent red dot combination - it performs well in both low and high water conditions and is especially useful in highly coloured water. In the UK sizes 2 and 3 are most popular with the 4 reserved for faster waters. The 0 and 1 are used principally used as surface lures with the rod held high the lure is allowed to swing around in the current.
