The Mepps Musky Marabou is one of the most productive lures day-in and day-out in my boat. As a full-time musky guide, I need lures in my arsenal that I can count on to produce fish, even under the most adverse of circumstances - the Musky Marabou does just that! While the bait works well from opener through fall, it really seems to be at it's peak during the summer months when worked on a medium to fast retrieve - use a quick crank of the reel handle several times during the retireve to get the marabou to really pulsate, and hang on as a monster pike or musky hammers it!Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Trout, Dolly Varden
It was the middle of February, and I was in Jasper Alberta for a ski trip, taking a break from the slopes I went down to the Athabasca river(which was open with barely any ice floating on it). I tried fly fishing for about 20 minutes. no luck. But than I switched to a Rainbow Trout Syclops on my spinning rod, on the second cast I was hooked up. I had a 4lb bull trout on, 3 minutes later it was landed! An awesome day!Lure: Flying C
