Jerry – Farm Pond, Dobson, N.C., North Carolina

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Catfish, Blue - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

I have often said that most largemouth bass anglers spend a lifetime hoping to catch at least one that weighs 5 lbs., or more. Yesterday, I was "lucky" enough to catch 4 that weighed a total of 29 lbs., 15 ounces, with the larger one being 9 lbs., 5 ounces, and the "smaller" one 5 lbs., and 15 ounces. But "the big one got away'! I hooked one which I brought to the boat, and just as I reached for what looked to be a 10 + pound fish he broke the swivel, and left with my Black Fury lure. Mepps lures are the best for crappie, and bass!!

Graham – Erie Canal, Brantford Ontario, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)

Fishing at a local spot, always catching bluegill, shellcracker, pumpkinseed, and other panfish with my size #00 glo pink/white Mepps Syclops. All was normal, whacking panfish off the bridge, when a 20" largemouth bass strikes my lure, beauty. I use this lure for a variety of fish, all seem to want it. Great job Mepps, looking forward to more fishing.

Hoodo – Ghost Lake, Hayward, Wisconsin

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Musky

I was using a #5 Mepps dressed Aglia. It was hot green with a bright green bucktail and a treble hook. I was on a one week fishing trip with Tushoes, who had already caught multiple muskellunges and walleyes, but I was get skunked by the big game. I tried my old reliable Mepps spinner and got two follow ups. I was unable to hook those monsters, though.
The trip was coming to a close and I had still not caught the big fish. Feeling desperate, I put on the lucky green Mepps #5 and threw a maximum of thirty casts, and then a fish was hooked! He jumped out of the water and threw the hook. In tears, I sloppily threw another cast, and an even bigger fish was on the line! We were able to bring him in take a picture and release him in good time.

Thank you, Mepps.

Richard Sprau – Hauser Lake Helena , Montana

Lure: Flying C

Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow

The rainbow trout sure like these things. Caught trout both trolling and casting them. The trout here run 3-5 lbs, but, both 5/8 and 7/8 ounce spinners work, trolling and casting as well. Worst thing is my 12 year old niece was the one who turned me onto these spinners. Chartreuse seems to be what the trout want to eat.

Mary Murphy – Lake Chataqua, New York

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Musky

Hi! I LOVE fishing, but, I have not fished in years (married-husband doesn't like to fish!) I ALWAYS wanted to catch a Musky. We were invited to my in-laws house on Lake Chataqua-NY. So, I went to Dick's Sporting Goods where I picked out my lures,------thought and said to the men helping me,"Musky Killer, its pretty and looks like a fur coat on the end!" They laughed and said it was funny how I was picking out my lures by look. Anyway, we got to the lake and I started with a pretty silver lure. After a while when that didn't get any attention, I reeled it in and said, " Ok that's it, time to break out the "Musky Killer". After 2 try's-the Musky hit on the third! I thought that I had snagged some seaweed but felt a pull to the right and something large on my line. When I saw the Musky as I was reeling it in closer to the boat I said, " I think I caught a Musky!" Everyone on the boat didn't believe me until they saw it! The Musky I caught and released was 32inches. My Dad loved fishing, flying, and golf. He would always show-off the Musky he caught at Lake Chataqua when he was younger. When he was dying from cancer, I told him I would get a hole in one or try to catch a Musky for him. Well, 1st I thank you God! I also want to thank Mepps for making pretty lures that work! Thank you also to my in-laws and Family for use of their boat, and especially my father-in-law, Gordy, who was our fishing guide that day, and took the hook out of the Musky's mouth for me!
