Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Trout, Sea/Speckled
My Gold Syclops promptly arrived today and I caught numerous Seatrout. The lure casts perfectly and works really well.Lure: Black Fury
Fish Caught: Salmon, Coho (silver) - Salmon, Chinook (king)
I bottom drag this Black Fury across river pools where Salmon school before runs up river ladders. If, after a couple days, the paint isn't coming off the lure body, then I'm not down deep enough where the big fish are. When I get hook ups it's always a fight to remember.Lure: Thunder Bug
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Sunfish (shellcracker)
This is truly an extremely versatile lure. In one day and on the same lure (#2 Thunder Bug Bumble Bee), I caught 9 med. largemouth Bass, 4 Bluegill, 2 Crappie, 1 huge Pumpkinseed, 2 massive Bull Bream. I have but one suggestion, make this in a size #3 and you will have covered all the game fish in the Sunfish family, including big Largemouth and Smallmouth. Something about the sonic properties of this lure fish find irresistible! All in a days work.Lure: LongCast
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
I landed some massive Northerns on this lure. #5, Black Body/Orange Fin, Single hook with a black 4" Mister Twister grub. I caught 13 pike that day and none of them under 24", got the pictures to prove it! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠And that doesn't include the 11 my brother caught.Lure: Flying C
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth
This is a unique lure designed for Salmon but I've caught nothing but big Bass (Largemouth and Smallmouth). The one I have is an older FLYING-C, #4 Silver Blade, (Yellow) sleeve not the Chartreuse(Greenish), single hook, no trailer. Absolutely fantastic action and flash. Now I know why they're called FLYING-C's, they cast a country mile and can be fished at any depth by varying retrieve speed. Great for Walleye and Silver Bass too!Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Bowfin - Catfish, Blue - Crappie (Black) - Pike, Northern - Walleye - Catfish, Flathead
As a kid I grew up using Mepps, in WI and MN. The 21 years I was in the Army, I didn't fish at all. After retirement my wife told me, I needed a hobby, so I took up fishing again, after nearly 25 years. And went and bought a bunch of Mepps and other lures. I can't lie, I am a spinner loving fisherman. Over the last 3 years I have used Mepps almost exclusively. And mainly the Aglia dressed #5 and #3. I have caught tons of fish with them, from Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Small Mouth, Walleye, Bowfin, Crappie, Catfish, and White Bass. I have been to Mepps in Antigo three times with friends to take the tour and get resupplied on my selection. Each time Bev and the crew have been awesome, and a big thanks to them.Lure: Comet Combo
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
These #4 Comet Twister Combo's work great in 1-6ft of semi weedy areas for Large mouth bass. I can't find these in stores anymore.
