Steve Eckstein – Lake Erie Tribs, Ohio

Lure: Bronze Slammer

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Catfish, Channel - Pike, Northern

I have used Mepps products for years. All of them catch fish. But these bronze slammers... Wow. The size difference is very clear. Make more of these!

Jeff Cisar – NE Ohio Rivers, Chagrin, Rocky, Cuyahoga, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Steelhead

I have been throwing my #3 Hot Orange plain hook Mepps spinner for over 20 years. I have caught hundreds of steelhead on them and this past weekend got my personal best at 31” and 12.1 lbs! In the past few weeks I’ve landed one at 28” and several others in the mid 20’s!
It never gets old feeling the hit with these spinners, even using them in frigid waters. It’s my number 1 “go to” and my buddies ask if I use anything else? Rarely! On occasions I will switch it up, but for my style of fishing it is simply the best! Did I mention the the hundred of big smallmouth bass and channel catfish I’ve caught also? Yeah! It works for them also! Can’t go wrong with these! Cast&Catch my friends!👍🎣

Jacob Sudduth – Salt Fork Lake, Cambridge, Ohio

Lure: Double Blade Musky Flashabou

Fish Caught: Musky

Caught a 35" Musky on this lure the same day it came in the mail, and got multiple other strikes over the next couple days of using it.

Bob – Brunswick Hills, Ohio

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White

The silver with red is money. I fish this at the dock in the morning and afternoon before and after walleye fishing on Lake Erie. I can remember only one time I didn't catch a bass of some type. The guy I fish with on Lake Erie was so impressed with it that he had to have one. He also has a lot of success with it.

I lost one after a giant sheepshead slammed it at the dock. broke my line and took off with the lure. Had to buy another one and upgraded the line so it didn't happen again.

Bob – Brunswick Hills, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

The Mepps Aglia Brown Trout with Gray Squirrel Tail is a go to. We go to Lake Nippissing every year and have our own group tournament. I can bank on the Brown Trout with a Squirrel Tail to catch fish especially casting into the sun and a slow steady retrieve through the tops of weeds in the early evening.

Avery Woods – Pine Lake Waverly Ohio, Ohio

Lure: Comet Mino

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bass, White

Best product I've ever used is the Comet Mino #3 Shad to catch large and small mouth bass!

Kevin McKenna – Lake Erie, Ohio

Lure: Trolling Rig

Fish Caught: Walleye

Fished Lake Erie the week of April 18-25 in and around the Bass Islands. The water was a little cold (44F)for crawler harnesses, still did really well on the Trolling Rig at slow speeds all through the water column. (10-45 feet back with one ounce)We did the best on blue, crayfish and firetiger colors with Colorado Blades. If you are using them with large fish, change the trailer hooks out to larger hooks.
I can hardly wait to use it this summer here in Wisconsin. The extra bulk of the lure proved itself on Lake Erie for big eyes.

James Rose – Navarre Marsh, Oak Harbor, OH, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Bowfin - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow

I bought this lure at Bass Pro Shops a while ago. While fishing in a local marina one day, nearly every cast was another catch. I have used it at fishing derby's the past two years and have won for biggest fish both years. Can't express my newly found love for these lures!

Dustin Long – Great Miami, Kiser Lake, Ohio

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bass, White - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Pike, Northern - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Walleye - Catfish, Flathead

From 0 to number 5 these baits always work. Best baits in the world. My go-to bait every time I'm out. These lures will catch just about everything. Caught my 38-inch northern pike out of the Great Miami River. My mounted 29-inch northern. Catch smallmouth all day long with these. Double blades are also great. Silver blades with white bucktail. Also, the ones without a bucktail with the orange plastic piece works great. Great product, good prices. Wish I could fish for a living.

John Parks – Oxbow Lagoon, Cleveland Metro Parks, Ohio

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I was fishing with a group of guys who never saw a Black fury combo killer before and asked if they really work?, Using a #3 Chartreuse Dot and the supplied Mister Twister I hooked a nice 4.5lb Largemouth after only about 20 minutes, now they know.

Dusty Rogers – Private Pond, Ohio

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Crappie (Black)

My friend and I were fishing around 1 p.m. in the afternoon in early May 2012 on a private pond in Pickaway County, OH. I was using a Black Fury #2 and was fishing around downed tree limbs and an old oak stump. I caught a 13 & 14 inch Black Crappie with the Black Fury #2. I would recommend this lure to anyone who likes to catch big fish. It's definitley convinced me to buy more of these type of lures. This was the biggest Crappie I've ever caught.

Mark Cox – Cuyahoga River, Akron, Ohio

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

Where I normally fish is 2 to 5 feet deep with a slow current and a ton of logs and submerged debris. Last summer I decided to try a Mepps Musky Killer in the river. I was at first afraid that I would get a ton of snags with a heavy spinner. The Mepps Musky Killer worked SUPER! I could keep it running just under the surface. One afternoon my friend and I caught 11 pike on Musky Killers. Most over 30 inches (which are very nice for Ohio). I also caught a 36 inch pike and bunch of others this summer. Check them out in the Photo Section on this web site or see the video I posted on the Mepps Facebook page. CHOMP!!!!!

Aidan Dahm – Seven Mile Creek, Ohio

Lure: Panfish Pocket Pac - Aglia BRITE

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

I've used many lures but the Mepps spinners are the best by far. I've caught a five pound largemouth bass, a seven pound grass carp, and a ten pound channel catfish. Mepps rule!!!

Matthew Fleenor – Private Fishing Pond, Cincinnati, Ohio

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Crappie (Black)

I have just began using the Mepps Black Fury with a dressed treble hook about a week ago. It has worked really well! In only 3 times fishing with it in a private Ohio pond I have caught over 15 largemouth bass, and even a couple crappie. Thanks Mepps for making such a great lure!

David L Veres – Fostoria, Ohio

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I used the Mepps Syclops #3, Hot Orange with treble hook the past two years in Canada. Last year it worked great for northern pike. I got a lot of teeth marks on it from last year but decided to use it this year anyway. Guess what, it worked great this year too for northern. Even though it had a lot of teeth marks. I just added some more teeth marks to it. One day I must have caught about 30 pike. I'm gonna have to buy some more hot orange. Great lure.
