This is possibly the greatest fishing lure ever devised, it can be fished deep, shallow, fast or, slow. I caught my personal best bass, my personal best pike, and my personal best trout on this lure. I have caught many nice White Perch on Mepps Aglias, but once again I was thoroughly convinced that the biggest ones come on the Size 5 dressed Firetiger with the yellow row of beads. Today 6/23/16 about two hours into the outgoing tide, around 12:50 PM, next to a concrete bridge abutment I had that unmistakeable load up and agressive pull down of a very large WP. My river pole is an old 9' Berkely 70s vintage surf rod with Penn CC5000 reel and 50lb braid tied direct to the Mepps and 90lb test snap swivel for a little extra weight and movement in the tide. The perch was easily over two lbs and made a powerful run for cover in the tide. The NJ State salt water record is 2lb 12oz and I'm certain we were very close to 2-1/2 with this one.Lure: XD

The dressed XD size 3 with white (silver blade) and yellow (gold blade) is a killer for the hybrids. I tend to troll with these lures and it doesn't take long. It also attracts all the other fish in the lake. If it wasn't for the pickerel I wouldn't need to order so many of these :)Lure: Aglia BRITE

I use the Ultra-Light Aglia Long, with the gold blade almost exclusively now, unless I'm using the Aglia Long with a silver blade! Hello, Jim, Michael and the entire Mepps sales and distro team. I want to thank you for providing excellent yearly press releases combined with monthly newsletters. These efforts are what is the patient and appreciated job related duties and work related criteria all industry companies should be following and executing. The lack of these efforts by other industry manufacturers and distro/media companies are the main reason why the industry is in an economic downward spiral and the excuse of the nationwide economic downturn is not the scapegoat most are using.The entire Mepps Team's enthusiasm and support for anglers, sporting goods and most of all each other relate in the catches and consistant intrest many anglers still have when it comes to catching fish in both fresh and saltwater fisheries. I am proud to say that the Marabou and large Tiger Musky Marabous acquired years back were field tested in the lower branch channel of the Delaware River by a selected and historic fishing and Gun Club member known as Lenny Rychychowski. This club is dated back into the 1800's and Lenny's proficiency in angling is exceptional. The sad thing here in New Jersey is water polution, clarity and most of all the unlikely sportsmanlike fish care and fishing pressure which has been adding to a shortage in population of many species of fish. Limits and on most adventures and guides any catches are far and in between....however, the Tiger Musky Marabou and the Large sized Marabous combined with most any spinners from Mepps Gallery of a wide variety of glossy, gleaming and feathered trimmed lures which I call Chicken lures...well...Lenny caught many a Striped Bass and a heck of alot of limits of Bass and many species of panfish including perch and bowfin on a wide array of great Aglia lures from Mepps.Lure: Giant Killer

I am not a good fisherman, but using these Mepps lures I have caught many cockroaches (northern pike). I caught so many yetserday I lost count. This is one of my favorite crappie lures of all time. The work best jigged underneath structure, or swam slowly and enticingly across structure and brush. This lure is great. I have a rainbow trout silver blade with a white skirt, and it catches bass, large panfish, and trout! It's best casted about 10 ft away, or at weeds, and then immedietley drawing it in at a medium-fast rate, with pauses to let it sink, and then draw it back again, twitching the rod.
