Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
I used the Mepps Syclops #3, Hot Orange with treble hook the past two years in Canada. Last year it worked great for northern pike. I got a lot of teeth marks on it from last year but decided to use it this year anyway. Guess what, it worked great this year too for northern. Even though it had a lot of teeth marks. I just added some more teeth marks to it. One day I must have caught about 30 pike. I'm gonna have to buy some more hot orange. Great lure.Lure: Trouter Kit - Plain and Dressed Lure Assortment
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Trout, Brook
Great buy! I have caught an uncountable amount of panfish, bass, and trout with the trouter kit, including a 2-1/2 lb. bluegill! My favorite lure in the pack is the Aglia Long or Thunder Bug. I highly recommend this kit!Lure: Aglia Long
Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow
This lure is great. I have a rainbow trout silver blade with a white skirt, and it catches bass, large panfish, and trout! It's best casted about 10 ft away, or at weeds, and then immedietley drawing it in at a medium-fast rate, with pauses to let it sink, and then draw it back again, twitching the rod. The result is explosive!Lure: Musky Marabou
Fish Caught: Musky
I have used Mepps spinners since I was a child. In the last 20 years I have been Musky fishing but have drifted away from the Mepps line and used other spinners. This past August, I came back to the Mepps line in a BIG way! On our annual fishing expedition to Canada, my partner gave me one of his Mepps Musky Marabou spinners to try. I boated 3 Muskies that day! A 50+ incher, a 35 and 46incher on the Musky Marabou spinner. In fact, the largest musky bent the spinner 90 degrees between the upper and lower treble hooks and was still hooked good all the way into the net!Lure: Aglia Ultra Lites
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth
I love this product for Trout. I've caught alot of Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass as well and some great panfish. This without a doubt is the lure I depend on for Trout. I don't know what I'd do if you guys quit making it. I like to fish it as slow as possible for nice Browns and 'Bows. My biggest Brown on this was 16 inches and the Rainbow was 22 inches. This lure definitely caught me some great fish including an 8 lb largemouth and a 6 lb. Smallie.Lure: Musky Killer
Fish Caught: Musky
I spent a week fishing on a medium size lake near North Bay, Ontario. The owner of the resort took me out fishing for Muskie four evenings during the week. He caught 3 large Muskie and we saw several more. The largest he landed was 44" and one that he had on for a couple of minutes before it released the lure had to be greater than 50". The thing that I noticed is that he used one lure and never changed. That lure was a Mepps #7 Musky Marabou with a red bucktail. Guess what I will be using from now on?Lure: Aglia Streamer
Fish Caught: Trout, Brown
The streamer flat out catches fish, the best I have ever used for brown trout. They don't even try to resist it. The only problem is the hooks bend very easily so I suggest switching them out it's worth it to use this lure.
