Bill Friggle – Pennsylvania

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Carp - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Rainbow

I have been fishing Mepps lures since I was a kid. I'm 58 now. I used to only use Black Fury's in muddy water. But one time I went fishing and the water was clear. But I already had a Black Fury tied on. So I decided to fish it a while before changing it. First cast, bam. Nice largemouth. Third cast, another. And I continued catching fish. Needless to say, I never changed the lure to an Aglia that day. Since then I have been using the Black Fury's a lot more. I think it is my most productive Mepps. My favorite is Fluorescent Red. Second is pink. I don't have any white yet, but I think they would be great as well. If you aren't fishing Black Fury's, you are missing out.

Carl – Massachusetts

Fish Caught: Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (White) - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel

Bluegill, Crappie, Perch, Pickerel all in the same day with a Mepps Aglia! A Mepps spinner is the first lure I go with, and am rarely disappointed! I've caught so many varieties of fish over the years on a Mepps spinner, I absolutely love them! Thanks for producing such an awesome product!

Bert Thielman – Bleachers Pond Fall River, Massachusetts

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Pickerel - Catfish, Bullhead (brown, yellow & black)

I have many Mepps lures. When the bite is tough, tie on a Mepps. I use them in cold water up here in the northeast and they don't disappoint. Mepps are great multi species lures, and you can slow roll them or burn them it doesn't matter, there will be a fish on the other end.

Luke Sears – Annapolis, Maryland

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Blue - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (White) - Perch, White - Pickerel - Sunfish (shellcracker)

I've been using all sorts of lures cheap ones, expensive ones, all kinds, but no other lure has worked as good as a Mepps. They can literally catch any fish. Wherever I go I take one with me because if I see a fishing pond, I know I'm guaranteed to get one with the Mepps.

Kenneth Adamik – Greenwood Lake, New York

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Musky - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Catfish, Bullhead (brown, yellow & black)

Best spinner I've ever used. I fish this thing all the time and can count on it to nail bass and pickerel all day long. Still get perch and crappie on em too.

John Hunter – Tinicum, Pennsylvania

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Striped - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Musky - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Snakehead

The Mepps number 5 dressed Aglia is my favorite freshwater lure. Its my number one lure for bass and snakehead. It catches anything that swims in freshwater!

Michael Purdy – Pikes Creek Reservoir, Pennsylvania

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Pickerel

I had never caught a pickerel before and was trying to get one for awhile. I read online the Mepps #3's were good for pickerel. I went and grabbed the Black Fury and ten minutes of casting, I got a great pickerel!

Jess Bridel – Kipawa Lake, Laniel, Quebec , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

New to fishing, my husband gave me a bunch of his lures to start off my tackle. One was a Mepps Aglia #3, rainbow trout with pink beads. He’d had it for over a decade and never used it (too pink). It quickly became my go-to. Out catching hubs. Shortly after catching 7 fish (bass, pickerel, pike) I caught a trophy sized bass!!! Sadly a huge pike, decided he liked it so much, he just had to have it.... I am desperately searching for a replacement- but believe it’s discontinued. I have friends all over Canada searching their local tackle shops for it.
That Mepps is amazing. Even my husband, who used to be allergic to pink lures, is sold on it and wants one too...

Bruce Purpura – Downeast Maine Lakes And Ponds, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Trout, Lake - Walleye - Salmon, Quananiche (landlocked)

I discovered the Mepps dual blade aglia spinner last year and have not put it down since. This lure catches just about everything that my ponds and lakes have to offer. I had never caught salmon, pike, walleye, or trout until I started using this lure. The bass LOVE it. I troll alot and using this lure on 1 rod and a different lure on the other rod, I will catch 90% on the dual blade. Can't say enough about it. Thank you for producing quality products.

John Sheehan – New Jersey Passaic, New Jersey

Michael Rigney – Eastern Shore Maryland, Maryland

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Cole Rochon – Middle Range Pond, Poland, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Pickerel - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

I fish 5-6 days a week on my lake from early spring to late fall. Mepps spinners have always been a go to when casting for bass. Today I pulled out a Mepps from my grandfather's tackle box (guessing 30 years old.) What followed was the single most amazing hour I've ever spent on the water. In one hour, I caught over 35 fish, and more amazingly, six different types! Large mouth, small mouth, chain link, brown trout, brook trout, and rainbow trout. I'm still in awe.

Dale Adams – Whitefish Lake Canada

Lure: Aglia Long

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

I caught a 42" Northern Pike using a #4 Spinner (Glow in the dark lure). As a rule, I usually use the #3 Aglia Long and it catches all species in my area as well as a large variety of sizes. In my Opinion the Mepps #3 Aglia Long is the best all around fishing lure on the market.

Chuck Wechsler – South Carolina

Lure: Comet Mino

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Pickerel

"In my experience, the best and most versatile lure for fishing dark-water rivers and creeks in the South is the Mepps Comet Minnow. This little lure is deadly on largemouth bass, crappie, bream, warmouth, and pickerel, or what we call jackfish in the South. Truly an awesome lure. - Chuck Wechsler, editor, Sporting Classics magazine

Clint Reinhart – Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Lure: Double Blade Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Musky - Pickerel

Awesome lure! Has caught a variety of fish and always attracts the large fish!

Kevin – Culver Lake Branchville, New Jersey

Lure: XD

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Catfish, Channel - Crappie (Black) - Crappie (White) - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Barracuda

The dressed XD size 3 with white (silver blade) and yellow (gold blade) is a killer for the hybrids. I tend to troll with these lures and it doesn't take long. It also attracts all the other fish in the lake. If it wasn't for the pickerel I wouldn't need to order so many of these :)

Noland Michels – St. Lawrence River, Wellsley Island, New York

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

Whenever I go out fishing anywhere I always make sure I carry AT LEAST 2 Black Fury's dressed. My personal preference is Black/Chartreuse in a #5. I have caught countless Northerns on these (and I only retire them after the paint and stickers are mostly shredded off by teeth marks). I currently have 3 of them with all of the paint stripped off and another on the way. They produce bar none. I had a fishing competition just this past week. Fishing was real rough as only 4 Northerns were caught. 3 of them were by me with the Black Fury. I have never gone out with this lure and not caught a fish. I am amazed at the successfulness of this lure and highly recommend it to all of my friends and anyone else who is reading this! Mepps has my loyalty and money for life!

Seth Farley – Surry, Virginia

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Rock - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Bowfin - Crappie (Black) - Pickerel

I use the Mepps #3 or #4 gold spoon and white skirt. Man in the Tran will tell you its the best darn thing since Larry the cable guy. This lure will catch anything and everything. I out fish everybody. They be using all sorts of fancy doodads and whatnots but my simple Mepps always catch me more bigger better fish every time. I usually fish that Blackwater River its got alot of different type of fish and my one lure will catch them all. Before I found the Mepps, I couldn't get no more than an occasional bite. Now when I go fishing, I catch tons of fish. Thank you Mepps you made my fishing better.

Duncan Campbell – Grand Lake, New Brunswick , Cayman Islands

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Pickerel

Went fishing with my grandson on October 18 in skinny water for Eastern Chain Pickerel. We were using the Hot Orange #2 Syclops equipped with a Siwash single hook, we hooked thirty of various sizes from 12 inches to two feet. We lost half as many. I have never seen a lure that they took so eagerly. This was my second great fishing with Syclops. A month before, we also H/R at least two dozen pickerel, some nearly 30 inches in length. Must find some #3 Hot Orange Syclops for next season.

John – Raritan River, Branchburg Nj, New Jersey

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Palomino - Trout, Rainbow

I went fishing at a local river on Saturday and no one around me was catching fish but me! I was the only one using a Mepps lure, everyone else was using bait. I caught my limit in 45 min. while I only saw one other person catch a trout.

Michael Way – Erie Canal, Fayetteville, New York

JEFF COSTIGAN – CRYSTAL LAKE, SULLIVAN COUNTY NY, New York

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Pickerel - Sunfish (shellcracker) - Trout, Brook - Trout, Rainbow

HAVE USED THE BLACK FURY FOR MANY YEARS, GREAT LURE, HARDLY LETS ME DOWN. PICKEREL LOVE IT BURNED. ALTHOUGH I REALLY LIKE THIS LURE, IT IS NOT MY ALL TIME FISH CATCHER, THAT LURE WOULD BE THE ACME KASTMASTER. I USE ALL SILVER TYPE THE MOST, COME IN GOLD, & OTHER COLORS. BUT MEPPS SPINNERS ARE A GREAT LURE. MANY A TRIP HAS BEEN SAVED BY THEM. A GREAT LURE THAT I WOULD TELL EVERY FISHERMAN TO BUY AND USE. JEFF COSTIGAN.

Andy – Lakes, Ponds, Streams..., Massachusetts

Lure: Aglia Streamer

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Crappie (Black) - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Trout, Brown

Bought them in Maine never having tried them before. Typically fish for Bass with soft baits and other spinners. With other guys in the boat catching nothing, these still find fish. Completely sold on them for all types of fishing in New England. Stronger hooks would be better though. Heavier set ups would be nice too for bigger fish. The treble hooks do make for a few more landings. I find the brown color works best for more species, but all have caught fish every time I tie one on the line. I would absolutely buy a wider variety of larger sizes and colors if they were available.

Mark W. Emmith – Central Maine, Maine

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim) - Perch, White - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern

There are some days when we will fish with only one lure, and that is, the #5 Aglia dressed white with a silver blade. On every trip to Maine, we stop at Cabela's and buy as many as they have because we know they will be beaten to a pulp.
They are attacked by pickerel, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and northern pike. It is a phenomenal lure and will oftentimes save a trip from being blah. Thanks MEPPS!

Alex – Big Stone Lake, Three Lakes , Wisconsin
