Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)

I caught a monster salmon on a #2 Hot orange Mepps Spinner on my 10th cast. Felt like I was snagged up on something and then nothing. Then it hit hard. This was the first time I tried spinners during the salmon run. Now I'm hooked on Mepps for good. Thanks.

Luca Poggione – St. Lawrence River, Rockport Ontario Thousand Islands, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pike, Northern

Only my fifth time ever fishing, and first time I used the Mepps Aglia. Caught 3 Perch, 8 Bass and 1 Pike using the Mepps Original Aglia Gold #2. My favourite lure, great all around lure, will definitely use it all the time. Just went to pick up more of them at the store. Thanks Mepps.

Dale Adams – Whitefish Lake Canada

Lure: Aglia Long

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye

I caught a 42" Northern Pike using a #4 Spinner (Glow in the dark lure). As a rule, I usually use the #3 Aglia Long and it catches all species in my area as well as a large variety of sizes. In my Opinion the Mepps #3 Aglia Long is the best all around fishing lure on the market.

Lure: Double Blade Aglia

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern - Trout, Lake - Walleye

In Canada with a Mepps #5 and a #5 double blade, I can control a bigger section of the water column. The Double blade is great for deeper weeds. Often, big fish feed at the edge of the weed bed on fish that are getting blown in by the wind. They are going to take the prime spot. Look for a channel that comes out, or a shallow finger that extends out a bit. With the #5 double blade and a Mister Twister tail, I can get down there and show just a little more than the plain #5. It has a little different feel, so it takes some getting used to. The double blade offers quite a bit less resistance to the water, which is what gets it down. As an added bonus, being deeper I was able to pick up Lake Trout and Walleye as well.

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow

This lure is a trout master!! I have caught 8 monsters in the last year just with this awesome lure!

Jim Fritz – Ear Falls , Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

Just returned from our annual fishing trip to Anishinabi Lodge in Ear Falls, Ontario. We really only need one lure, since we caught all types of fish on the same lure. That lure was the 1 oz silver Syclops. Our party landed several northern in the 35 to 40 inch class, several walleyes 18 to 24 inches, jumbo perch, smallmouth bass, and lake trout. It was amazing.

Graham – Erie Canal, Brantford Ontario, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)

Fishing at a local spot, always catching bluegill, shellcracker, pumpkinseed, and other panfish with my size #00 glo pink/white Mepps Syclops. All was normal, whacking panfish off the bridge, when a 20" largemouth bass strikes my lure, beauty. I use this lure for a variety of fish, all seem to want it. Great job Mepps, looking forward to more fishing.

Don Nerangis – Lower Manitou Lake, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Musky

On June 16, 2014, during my fishing trip to the Manitou Weather Station, Lower Manitou Lake, I caught a 51 1/2 "Clear" Muskie weighing 44 pounds with girth of 28 inches.

This, according to Kris, owner and manager of the camp is the largest Muskie caught in the approximate 9 years they have owned the camp.

This was done using a plain silver # 5 Mepps with 10 pound line and light gear. Further I caught a 32 1/2 inch Muskie and a 30 1/2 Walleye using the same lure and gear the same week.

Cole Remington – South Lake, Big Hook Camps, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

Using an old, beat-up, Musky Killer I caught a 39" northern pike breaking my old record (27"). Thank you for the time and effort put into your lures.

Good fishing,
Cole Remington

Lure: Little Wolf

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I could not reel the pike in fast enough using an all silver Little Wolf. Seven days in the Canadian wilderness would not have been the same without this gem. I utilized several methods, mostly a simple cast and retrieve, but also trolling. It really didn't seem to matter what I did, as long as it was in the water it drove the pike crazy. I regret that I had only purchased one of these prior to the trip. By the final day, it looked like it had been run over by a truck a few times. Nonetheless, it was still catching fish. I retired the lure, and put it in my hall of fame. My tackle box will never be without one from now on.

Steve – St. Marys River Power Dam, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)

I purchased a Hot Orange/Chartreuse size #2 two days ago, Sept 3, 2012 and went fishing for salmon last night, around 8pm. On the Third Cast, I hooked a 16lb Chinook length was 31-32".

I tried many lures from Pixies to other Great Lures for 3 weeks, caught not a darn thing, then this lure on the Third Cast produced a fish, a wonderful fish.

I also puchased a few other syclops a Glow Blue/White and a Glow Pink/White and also a Blue/with silver sticker on it, i tried the blue/ silver sticker and caught nothing yet. I have yet to try the Glow models.

I was the only one out of 18 ppl fishing there last night to pull a fish and guess what no one had this lure color and wham bam thank you mame for me.
Keep up the good work Mepps

Lure: Aglia BRITE

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

I threw out my brand new out-of-the-package Bright Blue # 4 Aglia and was promptly cut off by a Northern Pike. My son who was fishing with a B4 G threw out to the same spot and immediately got a hit. He brought the Northern Pike in and landed him onto our boat and that is when we noticed that he had my Agila Brite still was hooked in his mouth, so I took some pictures and got my lure back. A true Fish Story! I have pictures if your interested. Thanks, Roger.

Larry D. Smith – McRey Lake, Bracebridge, Ontario, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth

My favourite spinner bait just outdid itself again. On my annual canoe and fish trip to this region my #3 Mepps Aglia, Fluorescent Red (Orange) caught one pounders to three pounders throughout the day. After landing about thirty of them and thinking of paddling back to shore I lucked into a 22 inch , 7 lb. 3 oz. largemouth. It was a great day. This is truly a great lure and a quality product.

Shane Heller – Lake Of The Woods, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Black Fury

Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern

I just got back from my annual fishing trip to lake of the woods. Before the trip I picked up a couple of the the Black Furys with the all yellow dots and yellow dressing. It was the first lure I put on when we got started going casting for bass and pike, and it's the only lure I used the whole trip! I caught fish steady with it and eventually had to cough over one of them to my dad so he could keep up! Great lure.

Tony Scott – North Central Ontario; Red Lake, Ontario, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Lake

The #4 with silver blade and plain single hook is excellent for catching Lake Trout that have moved up in to the shallows early in the season or late in the Summer when the spawn begins. The lure is light so will not spook them when casting in shallower water and you can keep it off the rocks which is where you find them!

Jim Curtiss – Eagle Lake , Ontario , Canada

Lure: Magnum Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Musky

I caught a lunker 45 inch Muskie on a Mepps Magnum Musky Killer. We caught several more fish including Pike, Smallmouth and Walleye all on the same orange and black bucktail.

Paul Falzarano – Cobham Morley, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Comet Mino

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

By far the best lures made anywhere . Your online catalog is superb, outstanding service and quality

Lure: Aglia Long

Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow

Today, I caught 15 Rainbow Trout in about an hour and a half with my Aglia Long. Most of them were pretty nice. Now, that spot I was fishing in is my favorite fishing hole! I cast right beside a "special" bush, reeled it in about ten feet and WHAMMO! a fish would bite, I'd set the hook, and bring it into the canoe. I'm a young fisherman, only 9 years old and I love fishing! Thanks, Mepps, for the fantastic lure!

Dustin – Lake Manitou, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Trout, Lake

First time jigging through the ice. Fishing in deep, clear water. We hadn't had much luck for about a week. I've never had much faith in any lure but a Mepps. So I bought a Hot White #2 Syclops and dropped it down the hole. 6 fish in 2 days!! The little ones hit it, the big ones love it! I'm gonna get a couple more colours and sizes. Can't wait to try them in some moving water. Thanks Mepps!!

J. Patterson – St. Mary's River, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Salmon, Pink

There can be no better lure than a Mepps Syclops in the St. Mary's River. The "rapids", as they are called around here, empties Lake Superior into Lake Huron. This year the pink salmon and chinook run is unbelievable. What is more unbelievable is how the pink salmon cannot resist a slowly jigged Syclops as it passes through the deep holes in the river. Whether I am drifting it, jigging it, or simply casting, the salmon respond. I don't think Alaska could compare to the fishing that we have had the last few weeks. Thanks to the Mepps company for an outstanding lure.

Martin Rowley – Bow River, Calgary, AB, Alberta , Canada

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown

I fished for over a week on the Bow River just a short distance downstream from the 22X road bridge and only had one or two small fish, until I bought my Aglia plain treble size 3 on the weekend.
Within 2 hours this morning (Monday), I had caught 4 fish, 3 of which were small Rainbow Trout, but the fourth was a very healthy and very fat Brown Trout weighing in excess of 2 pounds.
I am convinced that the change to Mepps Aglia is the key to my sucessful mornings fishing...........Superb Lures!

Steve Heiting – Lake Of The Woods, Ontario , Canada

Lure: H210

Fish Caught: Musky

I just returned from two weeks on Lake of the Woods' Northwest Angle, where I fished the H210 right alongside other similar lures. The H210 was not only as effective at triggering muskies as the other lures, but my partners and I were impressed with how much better it cast -- both for accuracy and distance -- thanks to its jointed design. When we found the color the muskies wanted we were all able to take advantage because we were able to mix the blades with the tails, again thanks to the jointed design. And when we unhooked our fish we found the H210s were not bent up as often happens with other lures. Mepps has hit a home run with this product.

Kyle Laldin – Ken Whillans, Missisauga Canada

Lure: Thunder Bug

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

Hey guys I decided to buy a Thunder Bug size one in Mayfly because of all the cool features and buzz. A day later I went fishing at a pond and hooked into my first pike, I was thrilled! I was fishing for trout! I didn't think a pike would bite something so small. Thanks for the awesome product.

Mark D. – Clearwater Lake, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Musky

Caught in the first hour of my fishing vacation - a 45" Musky on a Mepps Musky Killer. Caught a 36" Musky the next day.

Zachary – Athabasca River, Jasper, Alberta , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Trout, Dolly Varden

It was the middle of February, and I was in Jasper Alberta for a ski trip, taking a break from the slopes I went down to the Athabasca river(which was open with barely any ice floating on it). I tried fly fishing for about 20 minutes. no luck. But than I switched to a Rainbow Trout Syclops on my spinning rod, on the second cast I was hooked up. I had a 4lb bull trout on, 3 minutes later it was landed! An awesome day!

But this isn't the only fish Ive caught with the syclops, its my favorite spoon to use in any situation and I totally recommend it!

Lure:

Fish Caught: Pike, Northern

Spinners are winners I always say and I proved that to be true this past summer when I caught and landed 12 northern pike ranging from 12 lbs. to 26 lbs.; and that was just in one day. For the past seven years, I've run a fishing camp for less fortunate children and while at camp, while the kids were busy with on-shore activities, I decided to go out and try the new Mepps Tandem Musky Killer I just bought, and, wow, the action was non-stop. Those fish went wild. Now, since then, I have introduced a pike competition, using the Mepps Musky Killer and these kids are cathing some remarkable fish along with some never-ending memories. All fish caught are also released so kids in the future can have the same wonderful experience. I wish I could send photos, but at this point in time, I'm not too good with computers. Thank you for producing such a fine lure, and, please, keep up the good work.

Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia

Fish Caught: Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow - Trout, Sea/Speckled

Hi, well as a complete Fishing Novice, (7 weeks as of this write up), I was having trouble catching anything so I did some homework on the local fish species to see what the lakes were stocked with.

I then put a search in to find out how to catch these fish and I kept finding links to 'The worlds best Lures, MEPPS', so I clicked on one which brought me here. Well I bought #1,2 and 3 Aglia trebles to experiment with and WOW !! Things changed overnight, these things really work, thank you MEPPS I'm having great results now!

Matthew – Toronto, Ontario, Ontario , Canada

Lure: Syclops

Fish Caught: Musky - Pike, Northern

I have had great success with your Syclops lures, particularly in the hot orange colour.

I was trolling with some friends in mid-May and we landed a muskie just under 12 lbs on a #3 hot orange Syclops.

This is my first muskie and I have caught many pike on this lure. I have quite a few lures that have never seen a fish (some non-Mepps spoons among them), but for sure I have landed more fish on a Syclops than any other. It is my go-to lure. Since the hot orange is painted rather than plated I need to replace it now and then due to all the teeth marks!

I find that I can cast them very far as well making them good for both trolling and casting.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Lure: Little Wolf

Fish Caught: Trout, Lake

Dear Mepps,

On Friday May 1st at 19:40 hrs while trolling with a Silver/Chartreuse Mepps Little Wolf treble on Cardinal Lake north of Ottawa, I caught a feisty 5 lbs Lake Trout.
I have to admit that I had been trolling with a Fire Tiger Rapala for almost 2 hours before I switched to the only Little Wolf I have in my tackle box.

Believe me or not, my Mepps Little Wolf had been in the water no more than 4 minutes when my rod started to jerk really hard from my first laker of the year.

By the way, I was fishing with a friend of mine who was trolling with a real smelt on his line, he kept fishing with it but caught nothing all evening.

I landed my 5 lb lake trout and released 2 smallmouth bass because they are not in season yet.

What I REALLY like about the Litte Wolf, it doesn't twist my line AT ALL.
It wobbles without spinning when trolling at a normal speed.

Thanks to the creators of that wonderful lure....I'm hooked.

Sincerely

Luc Taillon

Lure: Musky Killer

Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Musky - Pike, Northern

I have been using the 3/4 oz #5 red/white blade with the grey tail for 20 years and it catches more Northerns & muskys than anything else. They love it! Just ordered 10 more for my buddies as last year made a believer out of them. They were catching nothing so I threw them one and instantly they were on fish. I think its that bleeding tail look.
