Lure: Bucktail Jig
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern - Walleye
On this Northwest Ontario Lake practically all of the fish caught for two days was on this ¼ oz brown over orange jig. A 38" pike, a personal best 30" walleye and two trophy smallies. Plus countless walleyes and smallmouths. At the end of two days a pike ruined what remained of this hair jig and I mourned that I didn't have an extra jig. This is a true multi-species lure. I'm returning next year and you know what I'm going back with.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
I’ve used your double-blades Aglias for years. They are by FAR my favorite lure for Northern Pike. I just finished a week of fishing on Lake of The Woods and the Northern just could not lay off of them. I had three brand new #5s before the trip and all three of them are bent, missing 1/2 the “hair” and most of the paint! Keep up the great work!!Lure: Bronze Slammer
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth
Back to Back to Back smallies crushed this lure. The bronze backs can’t resist. First cast was a 4 pounder and they only got bigger!Lure: Aglia Tandem
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Perch, Yellow - Pike, Northern - Bass, Peacock
I've used this lure all of my life and it's the best lure of its kind! I've caught Northern Pike,Bass both large and small mouth. I highly recommend that you purchase of, if you want hits and catches! I'm 67 years old now and suffer from diabetic neuropathy which makes it hard for me to walk or even get a good grip on my pole, so like the song says " Don't get around much any more " I wish you all the luck in the world. Helps lures rule! Bye for now sincerely Peter C. Liardi. 😀 peace ✌&💘4EvaLure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye
New to fishing, my husband gave me a bunch of his lures to start off my tackle. One was a Mepps Aglia #3, rainbow trout with pink beads. He’d had it for over a decade and never used it (too pink). It quickly became my go-to. Out catching hubs. Shortly after catching 7 fish (bass, pickerel, pike) I caught a trophy sized bass!!! Sadly a huge pike, decided he liked it so much, he just had to have it.... I am desperately searching for a replacement- but believe it’s discontinued. I have friends all over Canada searching their local tackle shops for it.Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Pike, Northern
I used the blue platinum Syclops #2. I caught 3 pike between 24-34" and a decent sized largie all within 30 mins. Best fishing day of the year.Lure: Aglia Flashabou
Fish Caught: Musky - Pike, Northern
I bought a few Mepps Lure including this one in the red, white and gold #5 for a last minute trip to Canada. This lure did not disappoint. I had several northerns caught using this lure. My biggest catch was a 41 1/2 inch Musky. The fish attacked it immediately and the Mepps held strong. Thank you for making this quality lure allowing me to catch an elusive musky.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)
I caught a monster salmon on a #2 Hot orange Mepps Spinner on my 10th cast. Felt like I was snagged up on something and then nothing. Then it hit hard. This was the first time I tried spinners during the salmon run. Now I'm hooked on Mepps for good. Thanks.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pike, Northern
Only my fifth time ever fishing, and first time I used the Mepps Aglia. Caught 3 Perch, 8 Bass and 1 Pike using the Mepps Original Aglia Gold #2. My favourite lure, great all around lure, will definitely use it all the time. Just went to pick up more of them at the store. Thanks Mepps.Lure: Aglia Long
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Perch, Yellow - Pickerel - Pike, Northern - Walleye
I caught a 42" Northern Pike using a #4 Spinner (Glow in the dark lure). As a rule, I usually use the #3 Aglia Long and it catches all species in my area as well as a large variety of sizes. In my Opinion the Mepps #3 Aglia Long is the best all around fishing lure on the market.Lure: Double Blade Aglia
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern - Trout, Lake - Walleye
In Canada with a Mepps #5 and a #5 double blade, I can control a bigger section of the water column. The Double blade is great for deeper weeds. Often, big fish feed at the edge of the weed bed on fish that are getting blown in by the wind. They are going to take the prime spot. Look for a channel that comes out, or a shallow finger that extends out a bit. With the #5 double blade and a Mister Twister tail, I can get down there and show just a little more than the plain #5. It has a little different feel, so it takes some getting used to. The double blade offers quite a bit less resistance to the water, which is what gets it down. As an added bonus, being deeper I was able to pick up Lake Trout and Walleye as well.Lure: Thunder Bug
Fish Caught: Trout, Brown - Trout, Rainbow
This lure is a trout master!! I have caught 8 monsters in the last year just with this awesome lure!Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
Just returned from our annual fishing trip to Anishinabi Lodge in Ear Falls, Ontario. We really only need one lure, since we caught all types of fish on the same lure. That lure was the 1 oz silver Syclops. Our party landed several northern in the 35 to 40 inch class, several walleyes 18 to 24 inches, jumbo perch, smallmouth bass, and lake trout. It was amazing.Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bluegill (Bream, Brim)
Fishing at a local spot, always catching bluegill, shellcracker, pumpkinseed, and other panfish with my size #00 glo pink/white Mepps Syclops. All was normal, whacking panfish off the bridge, when a 20" largemouth bass strikes my lure, beauty. I use this lure for a variety of fish, all seem to want it. Great job Mepps, looking forward to more fishing.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Musky
On June 16, 2014, during my fishing trip to the Manitou Weather Station, Lower Manitou Lake, I caught a 51 1/2 "Clear" Muskie weighing 44 pounds with girth of 28 inches.Lure: Musky Killer
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
Using an old, beat-up, Musky Killer I caught a 39" northern pike breaking my old record (27"). Thank you for the time and effort put into your lures.Lure: Little Wolf
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
I could not reel the pike in fast enough using an all silver Little Wolf. Seven days in the Canadian wilderness would not have been the same without this gem. I utilized several methods, mostly a simple cast and retrieve, but also trolling. It really didn't seem to matter what I did, as long as it was in the water it drove the pike crazy. I regret that I had only purchased one of these prior to the trip. By the final day, it looked like it had been run over by a truck a few times. Nonetheless, it was still catching fish. I retired the lure, and put it in my hall of fame. My tackle box will never be without one from now on.Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Salmon, Chinook (king)
I purchased a Hot Orange/Chartreuse size #2 two days ago, Sept 3, 2012 and went fishing for salmon last night, around 8pm. On the Third Cast, I hooked a 16lb Chinook length was 31-32".Lure: Aglia BRITE
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
I threw out my brand new out-of-the-package Bright Blue # 4 Aglia and was promptly cut off by a Northern Pike. My son who was fishing with a B4 G threw out to the same spot and immediately got a hit. He brought the Northern Pike in and landed him onto our boat and that is when we noticed that he had my Agila Brite still was hooked in his mouth, so I took some pictures and got my lure back. A true Fish Story! I have pictures if your interested. Thanks, Roger.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
My favourite spinner bait just outdid itself again. On my annual canoe and fish trip to this region my #3 Mepps Aglia, Fluorescent Red (Orange) caught one pounders to three pounders throughout the day. After landing about thirty of them and thinking of paddling back to shore I lucked into a 22 inch , 7 lb. 3 oz. largemouth. It was a great day. This is truly a great lure and a quality product.Lure: Black Fury
Fish Caught: Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern
I just got back from my annual fishing trip to lake of the woods. Before the trip I picked up a couple of the the Black Furys with the all yellow dots and yellow dressing. It was the first lure I put on when we got started going casting for bass and pike, and it's the only lure I used the whole trip! I caught fish steady with it and eventually had to cough over one of them to my dad so he could keep up! Great lure.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Trout, Lake
The #4 with silver blade and plain single hook is excellent for catching Lake Trout that have moved up in to the shallows early in the season or late in the Summer when the spawn begins. The lure is light so will not spook them when casting in shallower water and you can keep it off the rocks which is where you find them!Lure: Magnum Musky Killer
Fish Caught: Musky
I caught a lunker 45 inch Muskie on a Mepps Magnum Musky Killer. We caught several more fish including Pike, Smallmouth and Walleye all on the same orange and black bucktail.Lure: Comet Mino
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
By far the best lures made anywhere . Your online catalog is superb, outstanding service and qualityLure: Aglia Long
Fish Caught: Trout, Rainbow
Today, I caught 15 Rainbow Trout in about an hour and a half with my Aglia Long. Most of them were pretty nice. Now, that spot I was fishing in is my favorite fishing hole! I cast right beside a "special" bush, reeled it in about ten feet and WHAMMO! a fish would bite, I'd set the hook, and bring it into the canoe. I'm a young fisherman, only 9 years old and I love fishing! Thanks, Mepps, for the fantastic lure!Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Trout, Lake
First time jigging through the ice. Fishing in deep, clear water. We hadn't had much luck for about a week. I've never had much faith in any lure but a Mepps. So I bought a Hot White #2 Syclops and dropped it down the hole. 6 fish in 2 days!! The little ones hit it, the big ones love it! I'm gonna get a couple more colours and sizes. Can't wait to try them in some moving water. Thanks Mepps!!Lure: Syclops
Fish Caught: Salmon, Pink
There can be no better lure than a Mepps Syclops in the St. Mary's River. The "rapids", as they are called around here, empties Lake Superior into Lake Huron. This year the pink salmon and chinook run is unbelievable. What is more unbelievable is how the pink salmon cannot resist a slowly jigged Syclops as it passes through the deep holes in the river. Whether I am drifting it, jigging it, or simply casting, the salmon respond. I don't think Alaska could compare to the fishing that we have had the last few weeks. Thanks to the Mepps company for an outstanding lure.Lure: Aglia & Dressed Aglia
Fish Caught: Trout, Brown
I fished for over a week on the Bow River just a short distance downstream from the 22X road bridge and only had one or two small fish, until I bought my Aglia plain treble size 3 on the weekend.Lure: H210
Fish Caught: Musky
I just returned from two weeks on Lake of the Woods' Northwest Angle, where I fished the H210 right alongside other similar lures. The H210 was not only as effective at triggering muskies as the other lures, but my partners and I were impressed with how much better it cast -- both for accuracy and distance -- thanks to its jointed design. When we found the color the muskies wanted we were all able to take advantage because we were able to mix the blades with the tails, again thanks to the jointed design. And when we unhooked our fish we found the H210s were not bent up as often happens with other lures. Mepps has hit a home run with this product.Lure: Thunder Bug
Fish Caught: Pike, Northern
Hey guys I decided to buy a Thunder Bug size one in Mayfly because of all the cool features and buzz. A day later I went fishing at a pond and hooked into my first pike, I was thrilled! I was fishing for trout! I didn't think a pike would bite something so small. Thanks for the awesome product.
